Well, it turns out that the Clemson administration has listened to all of the wailing and crying and gnashing of teeth. As of midnight tonight the football program will fold. The doors will be locked and the football facility will be used to house the extra students coming in from New York and New Jersey, while the indoor facility will be a playground. The coaches will be shipped off to other athletic programs that have a chance at success - Dabo to be the assistant softball coach until he learns how to coach again - and the athletes will be sent to better schools.

Death Valley will be auctioned off next week., a brick at a time, and the surplus equipment goes on sale tomorrow at 9 am in Jervey Meadows.

Where can I place my bids for the bricks? Been wanting one of those goalpost swingsets for my kids since I saw them in Fansville.

I.m retired and therefore do not have a lot of extra spending cash, but please tell Dabo that I need someone to hold the elevator door to my apartment floor, drive me to doctor appointments and hold the umbrella when I want to walk in the rain.

If he's interested, I can buy him a fish dinner at Capt. Ds once a week.
