Feb 10, 2023, 4:07 PM

Say goodbye to Clemson vs LSU/UGA/Oklahoma/Auburn/Tex A&M!

That's good news for Clemson. No SEC hopefully.

Nope bad news. Down the drain would go

OOC QUALITY opponents and we would have to play more low level ACC games.

With 12 team playoff you might as well play an easy schedule, win all your games, and get in

SEC and Big (IMO) have a scheme going that will make them the only 2 conferences that play for national championship.

beat coots this year, then say goodbye to coots

thats where this is headed. They don't want us in SEC so, it is what it is.

We do want you in the SEC. Would love to have Florida State and Clemson as another pair coming in. Its hard to believe you guys would sign that 'hostage agreement' to stay in the ACC but you did. You can bet the farm you would be coming in with Oklahoma and Texas if not for being held hostage - unless you wanted to be a big fish in a weak conference.

Before this season...

Tennessee football hadn't been relevant for nearly 30 years, and that would have been the case regardless of conference affiliation.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

There is one thing worse and that is to be in an irrelevant conference. Your team will eventually come out of it but not a whole conference.

Good for them. Shims be 9 games for ACC too***

Oh Boy! Adding another ACC loser to the schedule. Can't wait! Playing ACC opponents other than a few exceptions is about as exciting as watching paint dry.

Besides the ACC has the ND problem where five or 6 ACC schools have a game with Notre Dame every year giving some a built in 9 games already. Going to 9 would dictate some schools having 10 games and little room for good OOC matchups.

The SEC's nine-game conference schedule is a done deal

Feb 11, 2023, 6:58 PM

Includes three annual "rival" games + playing all other teams in the conference at least 2x every 4 years.

They will formalize it in March or May, I forgot which.

Effective for the 2024 season when OU and UT join.
