take those uncontested shots from the top of the circle?. If he misses, we can slap the ball back to him.

I agree. I'd love to see him shoot more

He is a true point guard with a true point guard mentality

I agree there are times when maybe he should just shoot but it is easier said for us than him ...He is a smart player , and knows what he is doing...he has always been solid but he is really showing some skill development this year ...he can ball , glad we got him , just hope his legs can keep this pace for the season , he plays a lot of minutes for us every game ..

Re: I see your point but the guy can be a greater asset as

he has the ability to sink them. That shot from the top of the circle when uncontested should be his.

It's coming. Confidence in that shot is growing

Jan 15, 2014, 10:02 PM

He's only made 8 3'd this year, surprisingly all on the road. He has come a long way shooting wise but also knows his role. On the road we're playing possession basketball far more than at home, and quick shots are not part of the plan except for maybe KJ and Roper or a layup

He is a true point guard - excellent answer***

Answer

Jan 15, 2014, 10:20 PM

Because he is a point guard where ball control, team trust, leadership and assists are more important than points. When he avgs more than 10 per game that is great for a scrappy team. Go Rod, Go Tigers

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It can only be a good thing he continues to improve on that

Jan 15, 2014, 10:21 PM

jump shot. It will allow him to pump fake or drive around guards having to play him closer and then he can dish or use his body strength to do that driving shot at the basket we have been accustomed to see him doing during his Clemson career.
Coach Betto

Really?

Jan 15, 2014, 10:23 PM

Nobody is going to address "Rob" Hall?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I assumed G-Man or the other announcer referred to Rod

Jan 15, 2014, 10:41 PM

as Rob a time or two.....or the OP thinks his name is Rob.
