Listen up Stoudt haters

I am beyond ecstatic to see DW come back.
But you've got to respect Stoudt. He got benched, lost his dreams. Yet, he kept his mouth shut. Never complained, did not throw a fit. He got another chance and won! All this with a bum shoulder!
He could have pouted, quit, packed it in. Instead he gave his heart and guts for CLEMSON. And for this I support him.
He's got my full respect. And he has great hair. Now flame away you keyboard warriors.

Didn't throw a fit and can't throw to a TE in the flat.

Same pass to Leggett every time (I think it has been three times now) and same result.

If Nick cannot throw a bubble screen, hand the ball off to the RB, make a few 10-20 yards passes, and maybe attempt one long ball a game, plus tuck it and run some, I am not sure why he takes up a scholarship.
And by the way, I'd Watson hurt worse than we are told?
Also, and lastly, what did you guys think about Dye in very limited action tonight? I can't wait to see him get a hole.

I appreciate Cole playing through his injuries and helping to gut out the last 4 wins.
But I also expect a senior D1 QB to be able to roll out and throw a 10 yard pass to a guy standing wide open on the endzone line. But Cole has been unable to execute that simple play several times this year.

Yes, that is true.

But by your logic does any good play that is followed by a bad play (an interception or fumble, for example), immediately turn that good play into a bad play or we should forget about the good play because it was followed by a bad play?
The pass to Scott was very good. But it doesn't mean the fact that he can't seem to make that pass on the rollout OK.

You're missing the point. I know he's not great. He makes mistakes. But he's got a heart of a lion. He's a winning QB. You complaining about that one play doesn't take away the fact that he had a great game. And he won.
You're nitpicking instead of looking at the big picture.

I'm talking about one play cal that has happened repeatedly.

And was a really big deal against FSU.
I agree Cole is playing with a lot of guts. But, I'm not ready to anoint him "winning QB" title.
You've got to admit that our defense this year is playing lights out and has had a lot more to do with us winning games (outside of the 4th quarter trainwreck against UGA).

Not hating, those are simple passes that he has not executed

And it has happened several times this year. Most egregiously against FSU.

If we get to the Orange Bowl this year, it will be largely because Cole Stoudt did his best and his best was good enough.

Don't think there are really Stoudt haters...

Tonight was his best game by far. But, it's been gut wrenching watching him play. So it should be understandable why some fans get over angry out of frustration with the offense with Stoudt at the helm, since the past 3 seasons we are so used to watching the offense move at will or come up with a big play.

Not a Stoudt hater, just a realist

Im sure Stoudt is a great dude. All im saying is that DW is better...simple as that. I also find it hard to praise him over these last 4 wins, I mean coming into the wake game, he had only scored 3 tds in 3 games. Our D won those games. Yall can thumb down my pulse all you want, Im just being honest.

without Cole. Read slowly, The offense is supposed to score, the defense is SUPPOSED to stop the other team from scoring, not put a limit on it.

I agree. He showed true sportsmanship (rare, these days) and will leave Clemson with a degree and always be a member of the family.
Would take him as a backup over freak show at FSU 100 out of a 100 times no matter who we were playing.
Thanks Cole.............

that would be just too much "realism" for them to see that in themselves.
They're just immature morons for the most part who can't realize that Cole is a 1st year starting QB with a new set of receivers and a new OL, as well as a completely different skill set as his predecessor. So to expect and/or demand the same sorts of games we saw from T Boyd over the least few years was defeatist from the start.
If one were going to be completely honest, one would have to remember that in Boyd's first year starting he was throwing to Nuk Hopkins, Sammy Watkins, and Dwayne Allen.
I think we can ALL agree that there aren't any Hopkins or Watkins or Allens running around out in the secondary this year - maybe in a couple of years - but not this year.
Morons.
