no doubt we go to Sugar Bowl if we win out.

IDK...they won't even acknowledge our win in the BCS standings...

Anyone dispute ND and SEC at-large are guaranteed?

That's 8.

Now Big 12 second team (oklahoma if they win out).

Now if Oregon plays for title, Rose could want to keep its Big Ten/PAC 12 matchup and take a PAC-12 at-large to fill it, leaving Clemson out.

Clemson's chances are much better with Boise's loss. But no, winning out doesn't guarantee anything.

i think it we win out

We could find ourselves in that coveted top 8. Very possible.

Only auto bid a non-conference champ gets is if they're in the top 4.

Whether you're 5 or 14 it doesn't change for at-large teams. Have to be selected.

I admit I don't know the formula:
Is it BCS title game, 6 conf champs, and 2 at large for 10 BCS spots? And no more than 2 per conference?

If that's the case, there are 5 SEC teams ahead of us, essentially putting us at #10. FLA & FSU play, so do ORE & ORE ST. Assuming ND is one at-large, I would assume it would come down to Clemson & Oklahoma. Oklahoma could definitely lose again, they could lose any of the last 4

6 auto bids for conference champs.

4 at-larges unless a team outside the Big 6 leagues is in the top 16 ahead of a BCS conference champ or makes it to top 12.

Limit to two teams per BCS conference.

Long story short:
6 Conference Champs
Notre Dame (unless they lose remaining 3 probably)
SEC 2nd team

are guarantees.

Clemson's battling Oklahoma, a 2nd PAC-12 team and small chance a team like Louisiana Tech for last two spots.

aah, thanks for the clarity. Seems like the Tigers would be in decent shape to control by winning out, but certainly no guarantee. From what you said, an upset of ORE or KSU would be bad for CU. Seems like ORE beating ORE St is much needed, and no upset of ORE in PAC10 CG. OU losing would also help

Correct. Pretty much everything you said is accurate.

Oregon loss in PAC-12 title game would be close to a death blow for Clemson's at-large.

True. Though an FSU loss in ACCCG might knock them out of top 14 anyways.

If they beat Florida they may be able to survive it.
