Jordan Travis is a decent QB and their Dline has some talent....but the Oline has been a problem for ever! and the coaching was AWFUL in spots last year. I do believe that they have turned the program around and are trending up but imo they are a long way from a playoff team! They play LSU-clemson-miami and the gators. I can see them losing all of those or at best going 2 and 2. then playing the ACC championship. A 3 loss ACC tem is not making the playoff. I suppose ESPN has to have something to Blather about!

Because they’re playing LSU to open the season. The pundits need to make them relevant and ranked as high as possible in the event that LSU wins it’s a top 5 or top 10 victory. In the event LSU loses, it will be deemed a quality loss and not hurt their ranking very much.

The season last year after beating a down FSU team in the first game. Don’t get me wrong, they have a good team, but is it elite?
Can Norvelle outcoach Dabo and Riley this year? He sure didn’t do it against Dabo and Streeter last year in Tallahassee.
Can Jordan Travis and his receivers outplay Klubnick and his? He sure didn’t do it last year against DJ and his in Tallahasse.
And let’s not forget, FSU is playing in Death Valley this time too.
If I were an FSU fan, I would not put money on winning this game this year. I’m not even doing it as a Clemson fan. No way!
It should be a great season to watch unfold.

1. They almost beat Clemson.
2. They avoided even having to play for the ACC Championship.
3. They had a huge victory over a 6-6 team in the Cheezits Bowl to end the season.
If that doesn’t justify all the hype, the what would?

This is the time of year when the talking heads hype any team in the ACC other than Clemson. Remember when it was all about NC State? Then it was Wake Forest, Pittsburg, North Carolina, and now FSU. They know Clemson will dominate and are trying to generate interest it their respective shows. Don't believe for a second that anyone actual believes it except FSU fans.

They had a decent amount of talent with weaknesses at QB and OL.
The QB looked solid last season and the OL was decent.
With them willing to pay anyone with a pulse from the transfer portal, they could easily upgrade from what they had last year.
That's why.
