Yield similar results to the 2003 game where UT didn't want to be there and didnt think we were worthy of even being on the field with them? I feel like we could see a repeat of this.

I feel like this will be a good game with a chance to win... even if LSU does show up & take it seriously. Call me crazy, but I think this program is on the verge of taking the next step. GO TIGERS!

That Clemson team was on fire at the end of that year. They had beated #3 FSU and murdered the coots 63-17. Not really the same scenario now, although this time its #7 vs #14, so Im not even sure what those ####### even have to b1tch about to be quite honest.

It's more about the bowl, not so much about the opponent.
If LSU were to have met up with Clemson in the Sugar Bowl, there would be no problem - and it would be a better game than UF/UL.
...well, it's STILL going to be a better game than UF/UL.

Told me today they feel totally disrespected. He said we'll be able to keep it close until halftime, then its going to get ugly in the second half. I hope they keep thinking that. Let them overlook us.

Then just smile when you see him after the game. You've won (in the work place) no matter what.

of preparing this team for this bowl game compared to his bowl preparation in years past. Dabo and his staff need to approach bowl preparation like Danny Ford did. It's not a vacation. It's a friggin' football game and the team needs to show-up ready to play.

Dabo has started calling plays on offense again so, unfortunately it will be a repeat of the SC game.

what makes you think that and if you have any evidence to support your contention.
Bear in mind, I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just curious to hear the basis for your position.

trying to keep his mantra going - "We play to our own standards not the opponents." did not work this time, and if he had really watched the films, he would have seen that the best results against a fast edge rusher is to run at him and not away from him. More play action passing and more rushing with occasional long pass keeping qb out of pocket! The offense in second half was the main problem - defense out on field way too long!

the mantra of "we play to our own standards not the opponents" shouds like a weak attempt at justifying not spending a sufficient amount of time reviewing opponents game film.
I completely agree with you assessment. The plays were there against a defense that relies heavily on a speed rusher (i.e., run to the hole he just vacated, play action passing to a RB out of the backfield or a TE), we just didn't use or call them.

This game will go much like the SCar game unless some changes are made. Hopefully, finally having some film on good competition will help us make the adjustments necessary to be ready for a quality opponent. Dont get me wrong, I think we can win but we have to have a different gameplan than the SCar game.

need to change offense to a more ball control - with occasional long pass. More play action passes and rushing - keeping Boyd out of pocket!

We beat USuCk 63-17, and FSU 26-10.. This year We lost to SC to end the season... I don't think we're going to like the outcome of this game. We have better Skill players, but I think our lines aren't going to pass the test. If we can make Dylan Thompson look like a seasoned qb then what are we gonna make Metternberg look like. My Hunch is they aren't going to over look us bc they shouldn't. They are gonna play us tough and out physical us at the line of scrimmage. Hopefully Chad Morris will do a good job of game planning for that.

I think you may have something there. I was at that Tennessee game and they did not come to play and Clemaon won the game. Could happen again.
