Who makes the Playoffs if.......

Tigers are unbeaten
ND is unbeaten
Bama is 11-1 (loses to LSU in the Championship game)
LSU is 11-1 (SEC Champ)
Oklahoma is 11-1
Michigan is 11-1

My thinking is that they will have to pick the Tigers, ND and LSU. Also, in this scenario, Alabama will probably get left out as their best win would be against A&M at home.

LSU and Bama are in same division so they won’t meet in championship.

doesn't really matter. Their defense is great but their offense is all smoke and mirrors. They somehow beat MSU last night by 16 despite averaging 3.3 YPP on offense. That's not going to work against Bama.

Bama will have to lose 2 not to make it

you are not facing reality if you think 1 loss will keep Bama out (drop them to #5).

They are so far ahead of everybody in all the rating systems and formulas that a loss does basically nothing. They probably won't even drop to #2 with a loss.

IF Clemson and ND are undefeated we are both in with us being #1 and ND being #2.

If LSU beats Bama the first week in November and goes on to beat the UGA/UF/UK in the SEC Championship and finish 12-1 then they are definitely in at #3.

Between a 12-1 Big Ten Champ Michigan with a loss in week 1 to Notre Dame, a 12-1 OU with a loss to Texas and a win over Texas in the Big 12 Championship Game, and a 11-1 Bama, it would almost certainly be Michigan. They would have the best resume of these three teams with a conference championship and wins over Wisconsin, Penn State, Ohio State and Mich State with their only loss being to undefeated ND.
