contingent on an NIL deal with a separate party it demonstrates how convoluted and untenable this situation is for college football moving forward.

Absolutely, especially since one of the only published guidelines for NIL is that it can’t be used as an inducement in recruiting by the school.

that a schools LOI form mentions anything about NIL particularly any NIL contingencies or conditions.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

in this case against both UF athletic department and Gator Collective. The point is everyone knows these two entities are working hand in hand and their interests intertwine to the one or both can be sued for the actions or lack thereof of the other party is so convoluted.

I say let all these guys sign deals that fall through and let them sue. The college doesn’t get the player and the NIL folks loose money paying for lawyers and settlements with nothing to show. In the end we win out because we did it the right way and not the flash the cash way.
