A helpful secret - Cru used to do Henry's lunch menu. I would go there to get the shrimp tacos to avoid the crowd at Cru and get the same food quality.
This was back in 2011 or so...I don't know if he still does that.

For the past month that I've been working there I've met more out-of-towners than I have locals... You never have to wait more than 20 mins for your food. Service is awesome, the managers are on your side and the CEO Eli Hyman is there literally everyday chalking it up with Customers... Customer friendly place man, you should give it another try.

I don't know any locals that go there unless they're from out of town like Goose Creek or Summerville. That place sucks. The only reason they stay in business is because of advertising in tourism magazines

Charleston is overrated and sucks monkey balls. I would rather save my money than spend it down there in that money pit. Those restaurants are sooo overpriced and I can do much better at home with my own kitchen.

You have to either wash the dishes yourself, have your wife wash dishes (which rarely results in #####) or beg your 10 kids to wash dishes knowing #### well youll have to go back and wash them yourself.

You know how it goes. It all depends on the current chef and we haven't been down in probably five years. But it's always been good.

I used to eat there all of the time, because that was well before Charleston's food got so great. 1995-1998. I always thought it looked so cool, but was just so average at best.
