I was at that game and Marshall defense did a great job early. loserville couldn't move the ball for the first 5 series or so. lj looked very pedestrian.
The MU offense was dreadful. The QB was gun shy, and with great field position they had nothing but 3 and outs the 1st half. Of course the MU D was absolutely gassed and no depth.

Not a chance I’m giving Manziel, Jackson Brennan and other the nod over DW4.

ESPN definitely had something to do with this.....fake sports reporting at its best here..... similar to Heisman polls I would say......not worth the paper it is written on......Go Tigers!!!!!

Only 3 in front of him even won a championship.... Marcus Mariota the greatest college QB ever but no championship, Manziel without even a division championship, LJ without even a division championship? Hawaii QB looking good against nobody then getting throttled against the 1st real P5 school all year, sheesh I guess if you just count stats then it makes sense but outside of that I don't understand most of this.

how you determine the best quarterback! First and foremost, was he a winner? That would knock Jackson and a couple others out. How much better did the QB make the team? Seriously, who on that list would you rather have leading your team that DW?

- I think "All-Time" should move a lot of these guys down a few notches.

Who even cares what anyone else thinks about DW. He did all his talking on the field. Anyone who can’t see that has no credibility making lists.

Shall I take Mr. Broback's opinion seriously and debate it? Oh go on then.
Only 3 of the QBs ranked above Deshaun won National titles; so that bumps him up to 4th in my book.
A strong argument can be made for the College careers of Newton, Tebow and Leinart, so although my bias would lean towards Deshaun, I could accept 4th place.
However, my bias towards Clemson, does make me point out that Tebow and Leinart failed to make the grade in the NFL, and Deshaun's stats, for his first 2 seasons, are far superior to Newton's.
So how about we change those rankings to read ....... Deshaun Watson the 4th best College QB, but at least 2nd for overall career (and on course for #1).

I'm no expert, but I find it hard to believe that all of the best QBs played so recently. Is the author an intern?
