was telling everyone that the Braves don’t have the pitching to win the World Series unless Max Freid comes back.
Well Spencer Strider just made the All-Star game with a 10-2 record and Michael Soroka just had two successful starts.
I think the starting pitching is looking good for the Braves.

The more you listen to Walt the more you realize he knows enough to sound like he knows what he's talking about but that's as far as his knowledge goes. Otherwise he wouldn't be working part time for WCCP.

The Braves as it is right now do not have the pitching to win a World Series. Postseason is all about pitching and defense, even in this offensive time period where MLB is trying like heck to make every game 9-8. Fried and Wright have to come back 100% to make it a possibility, and there will have to be a trade made by the end of this month to get 2 good bullpen arms. Snitcker pulls his starters early, so they desperately need a 7th and 8th inning lockdown arm.
Also , Soroka needs to show he’s back to make him a viable trade option for those bullpen arms. Hate to trade him, but I don’t believe his body will hold up long term to be the ace the Braves thought he was. The farm system is empty so someone’s going to have to be used as trade bait

Please tell me you are not a diehard Braves fan or extremely knowledgeable baseball fan. Soroka is way too young and cheap for the Braves to even consider trading. The playoffs only require 4 starters and I would place Strider, Elder, and Morton against almost anybody. So yes we desperately need Max Fried back ASAP so he can be ready for the playoffs as he is a much needed lefty. The farm system is no where near empty just really young but we are not counting on those young arms for another year or two. Snit does pull the starters early but that is the way of the new MLB. So six innings out of your starters is all that is expected now. I think the Braves front office is pretty happy with the 7th 8th and 9th inning pitchers right now.

Walt also said Dansby would never be a good enough short stop for the Braves to win the World Series and the Riley would never be a good enough bat to be a long term solution at third base ...
