Cant find a friggin condo near Clemson at a decent price anywhere. Don't want to be near students so the lake would be ideal. Guess i'll build my own love palace on a few acres just outside of city limits. Anyjuan know a contractor you trust up there? Won't be around too much to supervise the build. Live too far away but have to do something soon to keep mrs tbonez happy besides this

There are a bunch of townhouse/condo options more toward Anderson on the lake. Watermarke, Hartwell Villas, etc. Always could go the houseboat route.

Yea would like to be under 100k cause I can build a house for that. Trying to stay away from massive hoa fees like Keowee Key, Overlook, and Northlake. Not trying to be too UDP but a couple of acres and a 1000sf cottage seems easy enough for 120k or less if I can find a decent local contractor.

Especially the couple of acres part. You've got $40k-$50k in land minimum. You might could find something on less than a half acre, but property around Clemson isn't as cheap as it used to be. There's some new construction near me,but it's in the $180k range.

10 minutes away from campus already. If I don't find a condo in the 100k price range (give or take a little) soon that isnt in the city and have crazy high hoa fees, i'm gonna build a small stabbin cabin in the booneys as a last resort. I'm too UDP to afford Winkopp etc. LDR stuff. Just gonna shack up in it for football/baseball weekends when I aint slavin at this hell hole job I got!

I constantly scan for real estate opportunities in Clemson, and the market there has inflated wildly in the last couple of years for any type property. My Sis just bought on the Anderson side of 19B (where Lakebum is talking about) because she could get far more for her money than anything closer to the Clemson city limits. I think I missed my window on adding any viable rental properties in Clemson for the foreseeable future. If you have land already, you're going to come out much better to build than buy.

Yea...sold the family condo a while back in Anderson. Wish I didn't do that now. 19b area is where I would go for again but just hate those pesky fuggin city taxes at 6 mil! Hate them HOA friggin fees too!!!!
