USC vs UGA, and who to pull for.
Sep 15, 2022, 10:37 PM
|
|
First of all, I'd pull for the seal-clubbing, nuke the gay whales, jihadi suicide bombers over USC. Every single time, in every single sport. I hope they lose 100-0 in everything. Only because 200-0 is a tad unrealistic. Throwing UGA into the mix complicates things. They can't both lose, so I'm stuck with going with a massive tsunami. Rivers of mud flowing into Willy Brice. I understand the lowcountry will suffer as well, but as an upstate guy, I'll probably get over it. At least I won't have to hear how Charleston is the center of the universe and be tempted to eat their overrated, over-priced seafood.

If UGA looses this would be a big setback towards a back to back natty for them and we all know the coots have no shot in h3ll of winning any kind of championship anyway.

Guess I'd like to see Usuck win. I figure if UGA loses they drop out of the top 4. Usuck will certainly lose other games this year, to us for instance. Will make our path to the playoff easier.

That should be a great game! Point here, is that you are giving the chicks way too much respect by possibly allowing a reader to confuse them with the real USC…the Trojans deserve better.

Georgia, but the score needs to be 3-2. Less than 100 yds offense for both teams.

My take...

|

NO. 1 Georgia plays uof7c in Slumbia tomorrow at high noon. Kirby is still an idiot and he'll probably do something stupid, but the Leg Humpers are still superior to the Capons at every position. In fact, the Fighting Phallus' don't have one player who would start for the Hydrant Chasers and very few who would make the two-deep. Georgia rolls and covers the 24 point spread, and the traditional Dirt ###### third quarter mass exodus is on display for all to see.
No. 7 USC hosts Fresno State. The Fighting Lincoln Riley's are averaging a whopping 53.5 points per game through the first two games. Fresno State is a solid Mountain West team. Fresno State has the offense to at least keep pace with USC particularly considering that the Trojan defense has not been stellar so far this season against fairly weak competition. The Bulldogs give the Trojans everything they can handle but USC covers the 12.5 spread.

PLAYING!" Against the Dawgs, they probably have a big enough crowd where that thing might actually fall down. I advise caution if traveling anywhere in that locale around the 1st quarter. (It will be emptied out by halftime, no worries then.)

I like to tell people I should’ve been born about 50 years ago because of how much I hate UGA. Just don’t see many young people that do. With that said, there is a large gap in my hatred for both. Go Dawgs, but ONLY for this weekend. Hope they curb stomp the coots and we get revenge in the playoffs

My current thinking is this
Sep 16, 2022, 8:55 AM
|
|
If UGA will act like the defending champions they are and win by 30+, then I can support that. If the margin of victory is going to be less than 10 points, part of me hopes the coots win. I hate them both and wish the stadium would implode, but the last thing I want is a close UGA victory that will be excused as “SEC road game”. UGA will be forgiven, and the Coots will seize that moral victory and pronounce themselves “for real”. While we all know that myth would eventually (and convincingly) be dispelled, it would be agonizing to live in this state until that occurred.
If the coots actually manage to earn a REAL victory, the short term pain will be the same, but the pain will be greater when the sky inevitably falls. And Georgia will have a loss.
A UGA blowout will humiliate the coots and introduce their fans to reality, will set UGA up for a later fall, and will match expectations.
So, 4 possible outcomes: UGA blows them out (i.e. at a minimum covers) - Most likely outcome (60%) and one I can most get behind UGA wins but doesn’t cover - Second worst, possible outcome (37%) but also second most likely SCAR wins a close one - Longshot (3%) that I would accept but not celebrate SCAR wins by more than a TD - LOL (0%), but the carnage caused for UGA immediately and SCAR eventually would be delicious

the game. The coots will get their huge moral victory of the season and then think they've got it rolling after they beat Charlotte and SC State.
And then they will get their brains beat in at Kentucky.

Root for the meteor.
Sep 16, 2022, 9:02 AM
|
|
I don't hear this phrase very often anymore so maybe it's a generational thing. When I started college in 1991 ties still existed, so my hope for the UGA-SCar game was a 0-0 tie with lots of injuries. But there are no longer ties, so I root for the meteor.
Realistically, I don't root for either team. I root *against* SCar. Which means I prefer UGA not to lose, but I also don't mind if they have to sweat out the victory.

It’s a win / win situation. If the leg humpers win the coots shut up and go back under their rocks. If the Coots win they go into full delusional mode but the leg humpers playoff chances almost disappear! We win either way!

This is so easy for me, I despise UGA due to the way I've been personally treated when on campus or attending a game there, not to mention their tendency to be aligned with the criminal element. U of SC is no threat to me, academically nor in football, so it's easy to pull for them against UGA.
