umm-- yes it does-- CSS owns the rights and it's survival

depends on the replays and selling ads during the replay time slots. They can't show all games live so this way they get a bigger draw for their replays. Pecking order is ABC-ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU/Lincoln/CSS

Yes-- home games not picked up by the other networks or

not released far enough down the chain to be picked up-- IMO we should rethink our CSS contract when it comes up. Many of the people in SC can't get CSS anyway to even see a replay.

CSS was going to market itself better. Meanwhile, we are tied in to a two bit channel that nobody can see.

I need to go back to see if I can find the article when the contract was signed as it may have the term in there.

I understand your point, but PPV revenues would trump any ad revenues that CSS gets for a 2 hour replay. I'm sure that ESPN gets a cut for distribution, but CSS has to make a healthy pocket.

If there is that pecking order, isn't Gameplan ESPN related?

Did Gameplan give it up? If Gameplan got it--and they did for the rest of the country, how did CSS trump them?
Gameplan should be required to give its blackout conditions.
We here in middle Georgia don't get half the stuff Atlanta does, so I doubt we get it delayed, either.
I want my money back.

ESPN pased on it. CSS hoped to sell it to the local stations

but CBS had US Open Tennis and Fox has baseball. Why they didn't PPV this game is anybody's guess.

So, I live in York County South Carolina, my local channels are out of Charlotte, NC on Directv. So this begs the question, will I be able to get the game???
Thanks.

My understanding is that is blacked out if you have the Gameplan package, but it is available if you order that specific game... At least that is what I was told...

Since when is Louisiana outside Southeast? I know some people think it is a third world country.

Was not available in NYC! After ordering the GamePlan service at 12:15 and watching a blank screen for over an hour while I was placed on hold, a service rep from Time Warner Cabel finally came on and told me ESPN had blacked out the game GRRRRRR!
