Wake is tough. They've already seen us once. Its at their place where they havent lost. Saturdays game was a huge emotional high for us. AND, maybe most importantly, saturdays game was very physical. We'll hafta really shoot the ball well to win tonight.

Wake is not as good as Duke but playing at their cozy little place is one of the toughest tasks of any year. We have to be smart and take care of the ball.

Hate to say it but Tigers are due for a Big "L". Not going to win all of them in the ACC especially on the road.

This will be the biggest win of the year..... if the good guys can pull it off. If they don’t the season certainly isn’t over and I see theTigers being a tough win for every opponent. Go Tigers. Late game so plan ahead fans!

This is a game that we traditionally would lose under Brad coming off an emotional high over the weekend.
As happy as I am about where this team is at this point in the season, winning a game like this would really give me a reason to believe this team can go somewhere come postseason time.
I wouldn't be surprised with a loss and don't think it would lead to a downward spiral should we lose, but I totally expect our guys to come out and play hard. I also expect them to win (which is a new feeling!).

Totally agree with all of that. Considering Wake is favored according to ESPN (58%/42%), this would definitely qualify as a 'steal' on our schedule were we to come out on top. It's a great feeling believing we could actually do that this time around, but also not lose enthusiasm over what's shaping up this season with a loss.

This is the type of games most teams typically lose, for several reasons:
1. It's hard to get up for a road game after a big emotional win at home.
2. It's hard to win every game, and we've won 7 in a row.
3. It's basketball, where teams can have off nights and lose games.

Sounds like you're expecting a loss. I (like many on this thread) are expecting a win tonight.
You should have as much faith in the players as you do in CBB.

...so I hope we win, such that we esteemed TigerNetters can say that we aren't "most teams"!
Tonight will prove to me what this team is truly made of. We just had the biggest win of the season this weekend. A loss doesn't prove the opposite, as you point out, as anyone can beat anyone in the ACC this year and teams are capable of having off nights. But a win shows me that our highs aren't too high. We've already proven that our lows (SCAR and LU-C) aren't too low.
This team I trust more than prior teams to not downward spiral with a loss (a la late last year in conference with our 6 game skid).
I think this team can be top 3 in the ACC this year, btw.
