I read on here a couple days ago that the Alabama CB commit, Minkah Fitzpatrick, had been looking around, and that he had contacted the Clemson staff. Has any more info on this kid?

It would be great if true, but I've heard the suggestion that it could be counter-recruiting by other schools to sway Mark Fields away from the Tigers. I'd love it if we could land Fields and Fitzpatrick somehow, but who knows if that's realistic.

Then we should concentrate on Fields. Minkah or whatever his name is knows where we are if he's truly interested, which he should be. But, this sound fishy to me. Hope we get Fields.

Dabo and this staff doesn't have to resort those kinds of tactics like they do in cootville, lol.

That goes against every fiber in Dabo's being. Did you expect somebody to kiss your coot ### and give you points or something?

What? I don't think that this staff has to use a tactic such as that. Its my opinion. Its also my opinion that they probably have used said tactic down there. How unreasonable is that?
I thought you came here because you were tired of having to draw pictures and play connect the dots in order to have reasonable discourse, unlike FGF. Guess I was wrong. Wait right here and I will draw a picture for you so we can continue.

Your superior intellect has really exposed me. Resorting to grammar and name calling is the last line of defense. Its ok that what I said went over your head faster than a Tay Scott jet sweep. We all can't be perfect., but you can continue to act as if you are.

How do you know? Who knows what the coaches do on the road. I'm sure there's plenty that goes on with our recruiting that isn't 100% "honorable".

I said it was my opinion. How does that infer anything other than that? Though you claim to be sure that they aren't 100% honorable. What do you know that they have done, or are doing, that's not "honorable" as you claim?

Your exact quote was "Dabo and this staff doesn't have to resort those kinds of tactics like they do in cootville, lol." so you didn't say it was your opinion.
I wasn't suggesting Clemson's breaking the rules by any means, but things like negative recruiting are part of the game. I wouldn't be surprised if our coaches don't try to put something in recruits' ears in regards to other teams, just like they're doing about us.

If you would have read my post after that one, I clearly stated that it was my opinion that Dabo and this staff doesn't have to use tactics such as that. I feel confident in what Dabo is doing, and in what he is building in Clemson. I also feel that Dabo has Clemson in a position where they are would have to turn away prospects rather than try to "trick" a prospect in coming to Clemson. You weren't sure though, it was just your opinion like me? So we are both just giving our opinions, right?

we can simplify this with two points of reason.
Jan 6, 2015, 9:27 PM
|
|
We have one spot left and Fields is borderline committed now, so what is the course of action to get his verbal? Fitzpatrick is a legit corner still shopping around and everyone knows this so why not let the world know that he has contacted Clemson to come on a visit? It motivates a player to commit from a place that is regionally close , we have been subpar in recruiting , and gets us a player that the coaches see has more upside. What's the second reason? Simple if Fields doesn't commit then we have a perfectly capable back up plan that hopefully takes a visit and likes what he sees and comes from a talent rich area . It is a win win situation if you simply have a brain.

Wait...did you actually just say we've been sub par in recruiting? ROFL! I was having a bad day and needed a good laugh! Thank you for reminding me why I'm thankful to be a Clemson Tiger! Silly trolls!
