According to Rivals, it does look like we're actually competing with anybody for this Braylon Staley WR. He is a 3 star with a few decent offers, and it seems to me that West Vergina and GT are competing with each other, but it looks like both are wasting their time unless Dabo changes his mind....

Oh cause Rivals says so? I’d believe them on most recruits about like I’d believe any of you on the condition of this team.

Rivals talks maybe to some 5 star freaks occasionally, but the job is too big and challenging to talk to many kids, if you truly followed the secondary sport of recruiting you’d know the things others know, it’s pure guess work. Even when talking to kids, they play head games. They’re 16 and 17 year old kids and have no idea what they want to do in life, in general.
Recruiting is a blast for me, but it’s always been guesswork since I was all alone with it in 1974.

If any of this is even true, he’s going to GT if he cares about academics, the SEC hates GT so much because they spurned the SEC back in the day because of the cheating and lack of concern for academics
