I've been reading the Arkansas boards and there is not much mention about BV.

I'm hopeful that we will put an offer on the table that will make him the highest paid assistant in college football.

I will be surprised if he goes. Coach V is a family man first and he spoke about how hard it was to move his family from the only home his kids had ever known and about how much they loved it here after they got settled. I don't think he wants to do that again. Also, he has 2 sons playing high school ball now, and their lives are here. He may go, but I will be shocked if he isn't the Clemson DC next year.

1. Arkansas is a respectable Power 5 school - probably a top 30 to top 50 program. So, this is a good offer. One that most coaches would grab if given the chance.
2. Disadvantages: a. SEC West is tough - hard to turn a program around in that division. b. You can attract the best players from the state, but is that enough? c. Maybe their facilities are good, but how do they match-up verses Bama, Auburn, LSU, Texas A&M?
3. Advantages at Clemson: a. He has national visibility and is respected as a top-notch coach b. He is well compensated c. He likes the area and likes his boss d. His sons can play under him. e. He loves doing what he is doing. Being a head coach moves him a step away from direct coaching.
I don't think that he will jump to Arkansas. Obviously, I don't know, but I think that he is content at Clemson. He will probably be a HC one day, but my guess is that this will be at Kansas State, Oklahoma, or Clemson. A move to Arkansas isn't a sure thing, and he can afford to wait on the right situation. Right now, he has the choice of a number of offers every year. He doesn't need to jump at a good offer. He can wait on a great one that suits him.

Everything I'm seeing says Chad Morris is the top guy now, so this could be interesting either way.

You’re right. Nothing he said sounds like he’s leaving Clemson.
