Anybody delayed by new metal detectors?

Curious how they worked or slowed down admission in week one.

Had them at Gate 13. Cop had his car

in the way so a huge pile of people who couldn’t even see the other open gates. First time I missed the entire opening ceremonies and left our tailgate 30 mins before the game. Also tons of folks trying to get down the mezzanine to their seats. Huge amt of folks who acted like this was their first game. Next game we’ll head to the gates an hr before.

They did slow it down at Williams gate. Nothing as bad as

The problem we had was the handicap buses! We loaded the bus an hour before the game then set in the lot for at least 20 minutes waiting to leave because they said the band had the road blocked! THEN we started to the game only to stop at the top of the hill where the band marches down for the game but no band was there! They made everyone unload the bus and walk to the game! THIS WAS THE HANDICAP BUSES!!! Unreal!!

Gate 20 had 4 metal detectors for each ramp. There was clear signage to remove keys & phones from pockets, and most purses were clear, so everyone in the 11:45- noon range walked right through, no issues. We also had enough ticket takers working which was a nice change from last year's game 1.

telling everybody to go to Gate 1, there were no detectors there so no waiting. How the hell is having detectors gonna do any good if you announce to the bad guys which gates don’t have them?

Haha that’s pretty dang funny. I’m personally against the whole thing but it’s technically a pilot program. They are just trying to see how things operate until they fully implement them everywhere soon enough.

I’m afraid the next “security issues” will be leaving at halftime and going on field after the game. I hope we don’t lose those traditions due to this crazy world.
