This is what the President of the United States says about a warrant issued by a Federal judge and executed by the FBI that resulted in the convictions of multiple felonies including bank fraud and income tax evasion. Think about that.
This guy is more dangerous by the day.

deal with him to plead guilty to campaign finance violations? Something no one has ever been FOUND guilty of in a court of law. And something Congress does all the time, and has done for years.
I hate to say it, but I think at this point Russian collusion is dead in the water and if they're betting on a payoff to a #### star to get impeachment through an untried campaign finance law, good luck with that.

Its pretty much what many said when it first started. They'll arrest some people on stuff that has nothing to do with collusion.

The most obvious question is why have they filed a criminal complaint against her? The fact is that Cohen and Trump did approach her after they learned that she was talking to ABC about going public.

They cut deals usually when they get what they want from a defendant. They may know more than you think with the few deals they have already made.

the whole Dems are going to try and impeach him for paying off Stormy thing is laughable. A) There's no way 20 Republican Senators vote to convict on anything like that B) They'd lose 2020 votes.
Trump isn't getting impeached for anything short of collusion (smocking gun included) and this whole "the crimes we know about so far aren't that bad" argument is just for Trump supporters to feel better.

No, I want Trump to stay for the next 2 years. I just want his, or the people around him, to have their shadiness come to light if there is something. Why would any American with morals not want that? You would prefer that they can be as shady as they want and for everyone to turn a blind eye. That is odd.

I have to disagree with your premise. The idea that "they" are counting on anything to impeach belies the fact that these are just criminal justice investigators doing their jobs. There is no "they" who are out to get Trump. If he broke laws, he'll be held accountable, if he didn't, he won't.
The biggest lie coming out of the Trump administration is that there is this mysterious 'they'. 'They' control the Justice Dept., The FBI, the IRS and countless other U.S. Attorney's offices and State Attorney's Generals that are all combined in an effort to 'get' Trump. That is nonsese.
Further, many people have been convicted of campaign law violations including Michael Cohen, Dinesh D'Souza, Jesse Jackson jr. and others.

Cohen with tax evasion, wire fraud, and whatever else and sent him to jail for decades. Nope. They want Trump. Making Cohen plead to this felony when it's never been successfully tried in court, is a pretty clear indicator this isn't about Cohen, or Russian collusion either. And Monica's BJ wasn't about a shady Arkansas real estate transaction either. Ken Starr was out to get Clinton, and the excuse was Whitewater. Mueller is out to get Trump, and the excuse is Russian collusion.
Mueller thinks his best shot at impeachment or charges lies in the campaign finance route with the payoff. That's what this is showing me. Again, if there was Russian collusion, impeach Trump. There is none proven to date.
Not to mention there are dozens of current and former members of Congress guilty of the same "campaign finance" violations. I'd wager Congress won't even touch this because of what they've done with their slush fund for decades.

Impeachment is more about court of public opinion than

court of law, seeing as how it's elected politicians doing the prosecution and rendering judgment, not the judiciary.
In that vein, I can see why Mueller would start rolling out charges and getting confessions on lesser crimes by people closer to Trump in order for the public to understand how often and on what matters the President has lied to all of us, including his base, from start to finish. Even his TV attorney Giuliani (my how the mighty have fallen) is agreeing that Trump has been lying about many things, including business deals with Russia through much of the 2016 campaign - just not under oath so it's not "criminal". This makes it easier for more serious, substantive charges, if there in fact are any, to be leveled in a more believable and welcome environment as the investigation nears its conclusion.
"Wow, Trump lied like crazy about all of this small stuff - good chance he's also lying about the big stuff too."
Personally I don't believe there is anything the Mueller investigation will actually uncover that would lead to impeachment, including ample evidence for obstruction and collusion, considering the partisanship in DC and the depth of pathological lying that is Trump and his close associates, which muddles truth so much that there always seems to be room for doubt. However, were evidence to come to light that shows where Trump is in debt to, or in some other form compromised by, ANY foreign power, then that's a whole different ballgame. Mueller's report and conclusions would serve as more of a tool diminishing Trump's credibility about this than a body of evidence used to vote to remove.

No...actually Cohen himself said publically that he paid Stormy Daniels $130,000 in hush money publically. That is illegal when it involves a political campaign.
They didn't just make it up or create it out of thin air. He admitted to it and they couldn't just ignore it. It is illegal.
You view seems to be that they should have just charged him with tax evasion and fraud and ignore the admissions to crimes he made publically. Not sure how that works?

What? It happens all the time, usually with New England/New York/New Jersey types, and they're usually Democrats. It's probably a rite of passage up there, or they prosecute more actively than us down here. It's not that uncommon for some to serve time in addition to getting booted out of office, either.
I do remember that guy in North Carolina lost his law license and had a bunch of other hassle when convicted of not reporting a darn helicopter ride, though, but I think you're either allowed to be Boss Hogg in the South, or we just don't have as many cases.
So yeah, Trump could possibly find himself an orange jumpsuit just for what we know he's done, but I don't think that'll be it.

Makes me wonder what evidence the FBI showed the judge to justify a warrant. My guess is it was probably obtained illegally through the FISA surveillance that was itself falsely justified by a fake dossier the FBI never verified but was allowed to ensnare everyone in Trumps circle. Now why would the Obama FBI/DOJ pull a stunt like that? Makes no nevermind either way. Lawyer-Client confidentiality was breached under a false pretense which makes it all complete bullsht.
