Sep 21, 2014, 8:10 AM

Yup. Coaches do not have a challenge

Sep 21, 2014, 8:36 AM [ in reply to You sure about that? ]

the can call a time out hoping for a review, but cannot directly challenge a call

Yeah. Stop blaming that kicker that missed those kicks.

Sep 21, 2014, 8:17 AM

Stop blaming that center that snaps the ball over Watson's head. Stop blaming that kid that fumble as we were driving late in the game. Stop blaming that defensive end that fell down allowing a FSU TD.

Stop it. Just realize there is plenty of blame to go around. And the sooner you set all that crap aside the better for all the rest of the season.

Give me a break, Dabo challenged the Benjiman TD catch last year, FSU's first play of the game. In this game Davidson scored and should have been challenged.

They have one challenge. As long as they still have a timeout, they can use it.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yes they can

Sep 21, 2014, 9:01 AM

Yes, coaches in the college game are allowed one challenge per game.

A coach has only had one challenge of a ruling on the field. A coach will retain the challenge if the first challenge is upheld.

The head coach may request that the game be stopped & a play be reviewed by challenging the on-field ruling one time during game.

There's something in these hills.

You are incorrect.

Sep 21, 2014, 10:11 PM

The head coach of either team may request that the game be stopped and a play be reviewed by challenging the on-field ruling.

A head coach initiates this challenge by taking a team timeout before the ball is next legally put in play and informing the referee that he is challenging the ruling of the previous play. If a head coach’s challenge is successful, he retains the challenge, which he may use only once more during the game.

There is no hope involved here.

Whether it is or not I don't understand how they were quick to review a number of our plays so don't get why the touchdown wasnt

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Bingo. In a game that important and close, why not?***

Is there video of the play? I thought the ref got it right to start with, but without seeing a slomo replay I am unsure where he was down. If he was down before the goal line, whether or not they asked for a replay makes little difference.
