In Mens BB we have the best overall team

I’ve seen in years. We seem to finally have an offensive identity than I’ve hardly ever seen under Brad. Our defense is picking up also. Maybe we finally have some talent. Honor now looks mediocre compared to rest of talent. Collins and Bohannon were excellent transfers. The new kid #1 seems to know what to do. We seem to have good leadership on the floor with Tyson and Hall. I’m excited about their possibilities as they are jelling as a team. Hope there will be a sell out crowd against Duke as I think we have the ability to win that game.

The offense is his best...

But before the last few games the defense has been disappointing.
They would have won the two Charleston loses if the defense was just better.
Hope now they can move forward and start playing that well all the time now. Think the win last night gave them a lot of confidence.

Yes, we can’t let down on the defense we have always played under Brownell. With the new identity and success on offense we can be a good team. It seems in past Brownell teams we have had no offensive identity. Kudos to whoever is in charge of that offense. Even when they miss their shots they look good in doing it.

We’re solid, but UVA is pretty bad also. Hoping the early season out of conference losses were just this team trying to gel and feel out how they’re going to play together. The losses and a down ACC will keep us out of the tourney if we aren’t top 4 (maybe 5) in the ACC unfortunately.

And even more lucky for us, the rest of the conference is pretty average (except for Duke). Go Tigers!!!

All excellent comments. My only critique of Bohannon is that

he still goes a little "Hey, Hold my Beer" now and then. He did it one time last night, bringing the ball upcourt, going one on one all the way to the basket, for a shot that he missed due to it being partially blocked. As long as he remembers there are four other guys out there, he does well.

Last night was a huge win…. And I appreciate that we are better offensively. And there is certainly potential to be better than we were in early December.
But this team still has a lot to do to be a NCAA tournament team. Finishing off a close game…finding a way to win when the shooting is off, etc. Last night was a good road win, but so far we have really struggled away from Littlejohn. Show me a couple more road wins in January and I may start to approach Lucy holding the football like Charlie Brown….

That is EXACTLY the analogy for being a Clemson basketball

fan during Brad Brownell's tenure. His teams will win just enough to get you believing, then Lucy will yank that ball away just as we (all us Charlie Browns) go to kick it, one more time.
THIS team has a lot of individual talent. They may actually be talented enough to force Lucy to hold the ball in place, at least for awhile.

The early season losses to mediocre teams says otherwise.
I'd love to see the team win a bunch of ACC games, but what I think we have is one really good player and a bunch of other players that are streaky.
When they all play well we can win. When some of them don't play well, which happens regularly, we are going to lose.
Like past seasons, we still have long periods of games where we can't score.
