I like Coke they put out a Clemson Championship bottle but I also like Pepsi “born in the Carolinas” I’m torn.

I like them both. If I go to restaurant I'll ask for coke and if they say pepsi, Im good with it. I think some people will say Coke, bc there is this underlying stigma that 'you arent southern' if you dont say coke...I dont know the backstory on that but somewhere along the line it became anti-southern to support pepsi. You can still call it a coke and drink pepsi....who cares. Thats my take,

Coca-Cola was developed in Georgia.
Pepsi was developed in North Carolina.
So, it is just preference and neither is anti-Southern.

If you compare soda to soda Pepsi sells more.
However:

Correct and Pepsi and they have Mountain Dew too! And Mountain Dew is it for me when I have a soft drink, but I have to do diet these days. Not the original, however I have gotten used to it. I make it 1 maybe a month.
I have to save drinking my meals for a few IPAs on the weekends.

I'm not, torn that is .Even though I live in the upstate( 15 minutes to Clemson, except game day of course)I was born in Atlanta and grew up drinking COKE. Would not give you a plug nickel for pepsi( notice coke in caps).
In fact don't even offer me a pepsi if I am at your place. I'll take water or tea.
In fact I'll take it one step farther, ice cold 6.5 ounce glass bottle with peanuts.

Coke--even Jimmy Carter knew that was the right choice. Joan Crawford, married the president of Pepsi and pushed Pepsi. I don't want anything associated with Mommy Dearest. Coke, there is no substitute.

My preference is an old fashion Nehi orange, but then i will take a Coke with a small bag of salted Lance Peanuts(not red skins). This changes the whole taste of the coke. Do not forget the pack of Nabs.

Back in the early 1900’s I believe that’s the time frame Coke had the chance to buy Pepsi for a few cents on the dollar. But Coke’s executives believed Pepsi was going down the drain.
Well Pepsi was able to rebound and now it’s close to a head to head competition with Coke ahead. But Pepsi is no slouch. Pepsi was the drink when Michael Jackson was doing their commercials.
If you go to YouTube there is a documentary about Coke and Pepsi.
Trivia question: Who created Dr. Pepper.
No cheating by looking it up on the internet. I want to see if someone can answer the question without the internet.

Looks like I am in the minority here, but my favorite is
Mr Pibb...I guess they call it Pibb extra now.
Then Dr Pepper, Mountain Dew.
I prefer Pepsi over Coke. Maybe because it had the better deals at the grocery store when growing up? I do remember the RC Cola we would have at my grandparents house, it was a nice treat to go along with a Moon Pie.

when you dribble salted peanuts into it, and then drink it.
And in that case, an RC Cola (That's Royal Crown to you'se who never heard of it) is better than either Coke OR Pepsi. RC was so sweet, it took the salted peanuts to get the sugar taste about right. Add a Honey Bun, and you have the Snack of Champions!
