I’m sure it’s been discussed but what happens?

If Clemson , the U and ND finish with one loss. Just want to say I believe ND beats UNC but they are giving ND all they can handle.

Per ACC website (https://theacc.com/sports/2020/9/23/FB_0923200510.aspx)...
First tiebreaker of 3-team tiebreaker is combined win % vs. the tied teams. ND and the U don't play each other, so Clemson would be 1-0 (vs. U), ND 0-0, and U (0-1 vs. Clem). I assume that would eliminate the U, but not entirely sure since ND and U didn't play each other.

Good lord, I'm an idiot.
The tiebreaker should be... 1) ND (1-0 vs. Clem) 2) Clem (1-1 vs. ND/U) 3) U (0-1 vs. Clem)
Sorry for my mishap.

As long as Clemson finishes the regular season

with only one loss, they would win the tiebreaker with Miami and we would play ND in the ACC title game. UNC has two losses, they would not make the ACC Championship game.

This is correct.

I mistakenly forgot to include the Clem-ND record in my original reply. UNC is out because of its 2 losses. If Clemson, ND, and Miami (the U) all have 1 loss, the ACC's tiebreaker appears to give the advantage to ND and Clemson due to win % among the tied teams.

Our team had two big games coming up before we can get into the championship talk. IF the tigers don’t take care of business tomorrow afternoon forget championships

Actually only 2 tries. I posted my 2nd comment as soon as I realized I goofed. And it is correct. Happy Thanksgiving to you!

So the win over the U would be the difference. It doesn’t look like ND is going to Lose so I hope they finish the regular season undefeated.

That Florida State game could come back to bite us in

the butt. Per the ACC website.
2020 ACC Football Tiebreaker Policy The ACC Champion will be decided by a game between the two postseason eligible teams with the highest percentage of wins during all regular season conference competition.
Forget ND. If Miami doesn't lose but plays the rest of their games they finish 10-1 - 0.909 We, on the other hand finish 9-1 - 0.900. Miami would have the higher percentage rate. This sucks big time. We are either forced by the ACC to go to FSU or the ACC forces them to forfeit for us to be in it. Is this not crazy?

I stand corrected: it's by conference games only, so we are OK.

Right. It's conference games only, AND Miami already has a rescheduled game vs. GT set for Dec. 19. AKA they would be 8-1 in ACC games after Dec. 12, same record as us. Even still, we would be tied in the loss column, so if they somehow ended up playing all 10 games and finished 9-1 (which is impossible due to timing), the part of the rule about being within 1 game of the average games played would come into play. Assuming we are 8-1 and they are 9-1, and the average amount of games played was 10 (or 9 or anything for that matter), we'd be within that 1 game of the average. So the tiebreaker goes head-to-head.
