Question about Clemson vs USC game.

Hello Clemson faithful. I'm a Gamecock fan that will be coming to your house for the game on the 24th. I've never been to Clemson so can you guys give me some suggestions on where to eat? I also would like to know the best place to stay (area). I would guess there are multiple parking areas for the game, but where is the best place to park?

there'll be orange buses carrying usuck fans to the stadium arriving/leaving on the half hour. There are several dining choices on MainSt including a steak house that has excellent food

DANG GUYS, Hes just asking for some places to stay and eat lol.. I would say go to macs but I dunno how welcomed you will be lol.. All the normal places to eat are on 123.. The esso is a great place to go as well and all of the hotels are within close distances to the stadium. Hope this helps and have a good time, well hope the game sux for ya lol GO TIGERS

but there is something just wrong with this attitude. I've got no problem with expecting us to win, and hopefully we will again make it a day other teams dread when they come to Clemson, but being rude to fans won't get us there.

Thank you for that. I just asked a simple question trying to get some info. I have a Clemson friend on Facebook so I'll ask him. I guess I should have done that in the first place.

Seriously, probably going to have to stay in Greenville if you do not have a room. Great places to eat in downtown Gvlle.
Parking in Clemson is dominated by IPTAY parking - so you will need to park at a church or some other pay lot close to campus.
Hope you have a horrible time at the game, but enjoy the day walking around a beautiful campus.

Thanks. I haven't bought the tickets yet, but they've been offered to me. But, after reading everybody's rude reply I think I may turn down the tickets. If I'm going to be treated like crap on a message board, there's no telling what will happen to me actually being there. So, I guess you all got your wish for not wanting a "coot" on your campus. gauscfan - sorry you got beat up. It isn't right, but if you read any of the USC stuff that usually shows up on Clemson boards, YouTube, etc., you'd understand the response you received. Come to Clemson, it's beautiful, and enjoy yourself, but understand that after three years, we are more than ready to BBQ the chickens, AND their coach!

Last 2 trips to billy Brice. If you like F-bombs and white trash looking for trouble then Columbia is where you want to be. You don't have to worry about that at Clemson. Totally different class of people at Clemson that have bent over backwards since the brawl to be nice to coots but it has not been reciprocated.

If you come, you will find that most Clemson fans are very nice to our visitors. There are, of course, some exceptions (usually involving alcohol consumption). Also, when the guys on this board are with their families at the games, they are much more civilized.
We are very proud of our beautiful campus as well as our athletic facilities, and always welcome visitors of all kinds. We do want to beat South Carolina every year, and this year especially. If you come, you need to come early because parking is difficult. Tailgating is the best way to eat, since driving around is nearly impossible on game day.

Seriously, I didn't think I'd get trashed. It's a rivalry, yes, but when everything is said & done, we're all just regular people. I love college football as much as the next person, but I have a son-in-law serving in Afghanistan right now and what he's been thru has pretty much mellowed me out. He's seen friends getting blown up, shot, etc. (he's a combat medic). I'm not as intense regarding rivalries as I used to be.

Thank you so much. He should be leaving soon, but it's not soon enough. He will have been gone 9 months and this is his 3rd tour. His first 2 were in Iraq.

Guys, when the rare occasion that a coot fan comes on the board and shows himself to be one of the 10% of coot fans that are actually decent people, dont act like jerks. Just be like Clemson fans should be. There are plenty of the 90% to talk smack to.

To start off we have some dumpsters behind the cafe that i free parking for USuC fans since we know yall are used to parking around a dump on game day, be sure to Bring a grill, throw a "game" chicken on it, and there is a place to stay for free, you just have to break a law, which is common for you USuC fans (and players alike) And after the game, a feast of crow will be served to all visiting fans on the 50 yard line! So be sure to stick around afterwards and enjoy what Tiger Nation has to offer!

WOW. Im sorry mam. I have no excuse- but you should pull for better teams in the future. What are you looking for to eat? Typical college town- Outback at the exit is a safe bet- Tiger Town Tavern has great bar food and good sammiches, but you better not go there wearing #### colors-

You'll be lucky to get a room in Anderson or Greenviile and there may be a 2 night minimum.
You can park at the Y and get a shuttle to the game. Look on ClemdonTigers.com for info on parking at the Y.
There are some good casual places in "downtown" Clemson to eat such as Pita Pit, wingin it, BGR. While we are friendly to other fans, South Carolina fans are an exception. Expect to hear some rude comments if you are dressed in Scar stuff. While people on here have been rude to you and shouldn't have been, many us us who live in the Columbia take crap on a daily basis from Scar fans and the media so we're a little reactionary.
