.. brownell has put a ton of emphasis on defense after the NC State collapse. That was the difference between last night's game and last Saturday's game.

Open and getting him the ball late for free throws then he’s on the correct path to winning. We did not do that early in the year and now we’ve seemed to have corrected it…at least as of late.
Those 3s that he hit after FSU was getting momentum were daggers. That’s the essence of his value. That and for sure free throws at the end of games to keep the other team from getting back in it late.

There were posters on this same site who beached about Gerard having the ball in his hands at the end of the NCSU game after the turnover that let the wolfies take the lead. Of course that was Brownell’s fault as well.

I love the X and O Brownell but not a fan of the always sour, always yelling, always scowling, always negative body language Coach Brownell. Don’t get me wrong I’m fine with coaching hard, but his mannerisms do not often convey confidence. I still hypothesize this is why we lose too many down the stretch.

Well Brownell built this team at a football school and it’s sitting 5th in the ACC right behind 4 basketball powerhouses with a legitimate shot at winning the conference tournament and making a run in the NCAA’s.

FSU had some good talent. When FSU went to a zone defense with about 8:30 minutes left we seem to not know how to respond. Our outside shooting left us. I kept hollering at Brownell thru my Samsung TV to go inside with the ball. Finally but after they got it down to 5 he started going inside and we pulled back up. Brownie has got to learn after having a significant lead how to close the game. How many times have we been up 15 pts only to lose by 1? If you ever let Coach K retired now have a lead toward the end you would never beat him. Not being a good recruiter and not adjusting to close a game when he has a good lead should be problems he should not be having after over 20 years in the business. I love his demeanor with his players and the dignity he represents our University.

I'm not a dyed in the wool Basketball fan but I do pull for
my tigers even it was marbles.I do like Brownell because he
has done a good job in a conference where Basketball is King
and we have a lot of programs that have been more successful
than us.It's hard to recruit against those schools. Hats off
coach...great job.
