That right there is an advantage for them in game!

I tend to agree but certainly we should be rested in a month. If anything we got more quality reps in for the backups, and we may be slightly less rusty. I don't see it as a big deal unless we had a slew of injuries.

I don't resting 5 weeks instead of 4 will have much of an impact. You can also look at it from another view. You get a little rusty when you have not played in a while. So 5 weeks maybe worse than 4 weeks.

Just ask Oh State last year...when they had an extra week not being in the Big 10 Championship. #31-0

Will Saban burn any medical redshirts for our game?

Dec 4, 2017, 9:24 AM

I keep hearing they are going to be at full strength...

except the starting MLB and a secondary player. They have 2 guys that are gone for the year.

I guess I’d have to ask Dabos opinion but I think

We are on the cusp of being healthy and we played second and third string that last half a good bit. Good reps for themnif we need them. Too long of a wait and you start to lose focus. I trust our coaches to have them healthy and ready. Just hoping for no new injuries and no casualties to the Mary Janes.

I was also thinking that Alabama most likely spent last week watching film and correcting their OWN play instead of preparing for an opponent like the conference championship teams did. I'm sure they were preparing for their bowl game so they basically got a week head-start to bowl prep than the other 3 teams. Not sure how valuable that extra week was but it's just a small talking point.
