Say what you want but the fact that the kid

Went back out at midnight to throw balls tells me everything I need to know about him. Give up on him if you want but this kid is going to be great. Mark my words he will exceed all qb expectations before he leaves.

He has no confidence in his O Line, receivers and play calling. He looked good last year because he was surrounded by a better team. Hopefully the game will slow down for him next year with some good talent coming in plus that stud running back that was unleashed last night.

That's bull****, he has a as talented a group this year as last, with the possible exception of losing Amari - his mechanics are abysmal, he has the footwork of our Oline and the touch of a,....., I can't even think of a humorous comparison. He may indeed work this out but sometimes guys don't respond to the pressure when they are the top guy. I do know this, #7 deserves a few series from time to time.

Number 7 is Hunter Johnson… gets in the big lights and freaks out and throws a turnover, I’ve seen it for 2 years in mop up duty, in real games and for 3.5 quarters in a spring game… no 7 doesn’t deserve any reps.

my recollection is that DeShawn had a drop off for a bit his sophomore year.... for my part, DJU came in as a very highly regarded qb, im willing to give him a minute. his support on the field isn't as strong as any of us would like, the season is pretty well shot for championships...might as well enjoy watching the O figure things out and growing.

I agree with your post- it speaks volume about his commitment to improving. But to me it seems like throwing the ball to student managers is the equivalent of shooting free throws on an 8 foot goal.

It seemed to me he was tossing the ball rather gently, which may be the intent. Too many of his passes are either too high or too strong.

heck the ones he does throw well they drop, are receivers are not as good as they once were plain and simple, we should have put that game to bed before the fourth quarter even started, yes dj throws alot of bad passes agree but his receivers sure do not help him either.

I hope it is like my golf game. Sometimes i have a score that was not great but hit a few really good shots where something worked. Then I go to the range and try to groove that feeling.

Yep. I’ve certainly yelled at the kid quite frequently from the privacy of my den. So much that my wife has has gotten up a couple times and went to watch tv in the bedroom. But given his family challenges and less than great offensive support, I’m pulling for the guy. My sophomore year I would have been at TT Tavern or Sloan Street after homecoming. If he doesn’t turn it around this year, next year will be wide open for Klubnik and I don’t doubt Dabo will make the choice when it needs to be made.

I don't know that he will exceed expectations

The bar is set high...it's expected that he be the average of DW4 and TL16 which is a lot to expect. However, I believe like you do, he's great kid, hard worker, smart and he comes from a great family. I'm pulling for him!

Or running back showing up, didn’t make you realize that no one likes this guy?? I know I’m just a marine. It’s the first thing I saw. Maybe no one likes him, or maybe it was just for the cameras. And everyone knew it was for a fake ### show . I think this team is want a change. I know Dabo is in a bad spot. Just drop this dude and TP will make him glad he did. GO TIGERS!!!!!

DJ stinks or DJ is a bust. No he is neither. DJ is a bit wild but go back and add in the WR drops and the WR less than total effort given or wrong route run and DJ and his stats would look just fine. He certainly needs to learn to put some air under touch passes but against BC there were more WR begging for a flag than making total effort to catch the pass. Least little tug on a jersey and 10 is looking around for a flag. Make more effort to make the catch and ref is more likely to toss the flag. Just seems as if the inexperience overall is the main culprit. The WR group is highly rated but none of them has played very much except Ross and he is over a year away from playing and has not played much with DJ. I believe the team will continue to improve and will be better each week. Good enough to win out? Who knows but I do believe they are all trying very hard to improve and become a team instead of just one of the parts.

A good thing. Some of the Tigernet coaches here, who obviously are psychic psychiatrists as well, find a way to react negatively. I bet they are a joy to be around.

No one is giving up. We just wish he would get the NIL crap out of the way before (if not now) it affects the whole team. Having himself filmed for social media purposes? C'mon DJ. Be a Tiger.

Nothing wrong with DJ. He's a great QB. He's not an NFL 1st

round pick (at the current point) but he's a great QB. Our problems originate with our scheme, our fundamentals, our strategy for each game, our playcalling, our skill position technique, etc. Basically, from our coaching.

I am really pulling for him as I think most Tiger nation is. I wonder if he is overthinking things. I think the coaches may want to tell him no football no film for a couple of days. Nothing. Work on some mechanics and touch when you come back.
TE not doing him any favors running a speed option with a 250 QB. What a terrible call. Of course the bad calls probably outweigh the good for Elliott.
