Here in Ohio, the governor just announced mandatory closing of all restaurants and bars until further notice, beginning at 11pm tonight.
Crazy days.

Oh boy. Once one goes so goes the rest. Why don't they just close dining rooms? They can still do pickup or delivery and keep those people employed.

Read an article today that Taco Bell is considering closing dining areas and keep the drive thru and delivery on going.

Will the gov't require Chick-Fil-A to start opening on Sundays now to be able to feed people since all the other restaurants will close?

I believe that is the plan for SC. You can still pick up food for carry out (and of course have food delivered)

A friend in China says that the Chinese people have been staying home from work, but going out to eat and drink after 5 pm.
Nobody wants to stay home unless they are already sick.
Who would have thought that Chinese people would have more freedom than Ohioans in the middle of a health crisis?

They need instantes to show where they paid out the government help for businesses, and they will probably try and only pay half of what they were entitled to with some that they will get away with doing it, and keeping parts of that money for themselves!!! State government crooks will be crooked when they can get away with it!!!
Just like that $0.25 cent on a gallon gas tax that Haley passed when she was governor. Never seen a fixed road from it, and actually have never heard another thing about it since she left the governor's office!!!!

Actually it was a $0.12 (twelve) cent increase that was passed in May of 2017...McMaster was Governor, not Haley. The sales tax on gas and diesel increases two cents a year for six years. If you have a specific state road you want improved, go to the SC DOT website and ask.

I'm probably wrong, but wasn't that extra penny tax on gas supposed to go away after a certain period of time? I thought that was supposed to specifically only be used to fix roads.
Addl. Tax: $0.01 / gallon†

Be prepared to not see a lot reopen. Some small businesses won’t be able to take a hit of a month shutdown

What with the thousands of deaths reported across the country with this pandemic.
There should be prison sentences for the sicko fear mongering going on here. This is what happens when you cower to the left wing arm of the media( which is basically all media). Again folks, make no mistake, the scare tactics across the U.S. were started for one reason and one reason only. That reason happens in 8 months

Not a Haley fan but she did not raise the gas tax at all- her 8 years are one reason our roads are in such bad shape- even a 2 cents tax would have helped save tires and lives

Except that's false. There were already enough funds to make substantial improvements on the roads. The problem the whole time and still to this day was/is mismanagement on distribution of funds being allocated based on good ole boy system.
Essentially, you vote for this project I'm proposing here, I'll make sure road funds are released to your district to make us both look good to voters.

I would gladly pay an extra $.10 per gallon if I thought it would do any good, but I just do not trust the state legislature with a red cent.

Saw on tv crawl where they are taking the week off because they worked so hard on the budget recently. Funny when our business does the budget or your job you dont get a week off for it. Oh and they are saving us money for things like travel reimbursement and lodging.

Y'all don't know what bad roads look like. Trust me SC roads are just fine compared to what we deal with up north.
SC roads are glass compared to up here. I loved going back home to drive.

The ride back from Fla. is mesterpiece... You do fine until you hit the S.C. border where you go from pretty much universal 3 lanes to a 2 lane piece of carp... All because people got elected by running on the "anti-tax" bandwagon...
