Remember, after early signing day when most of the talking heads

pronounced that Clemson’s run was over and recruiting was a dumpster fire?
Since then, we’ve upgraded DT coach with the hiring of Eason. We’ve had several seniors such as Potter, Henry, Thomas, announce that they were coming back for another season. (I’d also argue that each of these players that are coming are better than anybody that we could have signed from the portal). And depending on how a few other schools finish up, if we hit on our remaining targets, this recruiting class has a shot at finishing in top 13-18 recruiting class rankings this year.
Lots to be optimistic about, folks.

Mediocre?? Lmfao those type of classes won us championships but sure let’s go with your take. Ratings is nothing more then a bragging right for fans, clemsons develops. Georgia always has a top class and one championship in this decade to show for it but please let Dabo know how tired of mediocracy you are

Admit it, Clemson struggled this year and finished 10-3, ranked in the top 15.
Admit it, the coots had a great year, and ended up 7-6, not ranked.
Any questions?

I don't remember them saying that Clemson's run was over. I'm sure you have a Finebaum quote saying so but I don't put much into that.

I think 2022 can be a playoff team. What worries me is what happens in the following years when this class is supposed to be ready to contribute. Go Tigers.

Just look at Clemson and Georgia final rankings over the last 20 years, I used AP:
2021 14-us Georgia-1 2020 3-us Georgia-7 2019 2-us Georgia-4 2018 1-us Georgia-7 2017 4-us Georgia-2 2016 1-us Georgia-NR-Kirby's first year 2015 2-us Georgia-NR 2014 15-us Georgia-9 2013 8-us Georgia-NR 2012 11-us Georgia-5 2011 22-us Georgia-19 2010 NR-us Georgia-NR 2009 24-us Georgia-NR
It is easy to forget how bad Georgia was before Kirby showed up. His plan from day 1 was to make recruiting the #1 priority. We can make fun as much as we want about them winning recruiting titles but the reality is that they are now reaping the rewards and it appears they will be a regular in the CFP. What's different is NIL; Bama, OSU, Georgia and T A&M wasted no time in engaging their boosters as defacto free agency funders. While at Clemson, I really believe we have for the most part been clean and tried to play by the "old" rules. Dabo will not sacrifice his integrity so we have been slow to react.
It is startling the percentage of top 100 2022 recruits that signed with T A&M, Georgia, OSU and Bama. Go check out past years, it has never been so heavily weighted to so few number of school. With Miami and Florida now getting their acts together, it is not going to become any easier. The landscape of recruiting has completely changed within the last year. Those that want to compare our 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 teams that succeeded because of exceptional development are now comparing apples to oranges.
I would be willing to bet the farm we are a CFP team in 2022 but I struggle to see how we maintain moving forward in this environment knowing Dabo won't sell his sole and quite honestly we don't have the alumni presence some other have.
Go Tigers!

We have everything we need in 2022 to make a run into the playoffs.

Just need a QB to step up who can complete passes more consistently, manage the team, and be a vocal, respected leader.
