Pulling for USuC is sacrilegious

But, in the best interest of Clemson, USuC beating Georgia does a lot to our CFP aspirations.

I hope they make it respectable for a couple of reasons ...chiefly among those reasons is because false hope is really no hope at all .

Yeah I will change my opinion of the outcome. They are at Gerogia's 10 yard line with 2 seconds left in the game down by 2. They bring in their kicker in to win the game. They are so hopeful. Bad snap and they never get the kick off. Game over.

It doesn’t change playoff chances for us at all, we win we’re good, we lose and we jeopardize our shot, either way we must win the ACC.
Now I have always viewed South Carolina like ignoying step brother I never wanted, but I tolerate.
Georgia is the pit of humanity with their fan base. So I always hope they lose, even if it’s against South Carolina.
4 years of Tiger Band, traveling to every game, and Georgia was by far and above the most disgusting fans I have ever witnessed.

...skrew our SOS - we'll handle it and we'll get there, regardless! However, USuC must lose, always, under any and all circumstances. Call me an old time Tiger - please, because that's exactly what I am - but to hope that USuC beats anybody, anywhere, under any circumstances, for whatever reason, even if it credits our perceived "Strength of Schedule", is worse than sacrilegious, it's just plain wrong. I hate the Dawgs, but our rivalry with USuC goes way beyond football... and that's all I'm going to say about that.
Go Tigers!!!

Agreed wholeheartedly. Living in the Lowcountry, I took a beating during the five streak. My disdain for everything scu related, verges on hatred.

Thank you. Well said. It blows my mind reading all these posts saying they want USuCk to win. A true clemson fan wants those losers to get beaten down in every sport they play, every single time. Especially football.

Not pulling for them. If we are meant to be in the playoff, we do what we need to do.

We win the ACC with 1 loss or less and we are in. This does not change with any win or loss by any opponent that we have this year.

I want the Dawgs to beat them by 40+. Then Bentley can say the Dawgs weren't really much better, if better at all.

The only outcome I will be satisfied with is complete and utter annihilation, destruction and humiliation of the Coots program on Saturday. I hope they are down by 3-4 touchdowns at halftime and eventually lose by 40-50 point.

I hope it plays out much like the Clemson game last year. Lots of hype and (false) hope. The whole "This is our signature moment!" vibe. Big Broadway production (2001), lots of jumpig to Sandstorm, piping in the stupid chicken sound, then kickoff...and sorrow.

Let's talk about scenarios
Sep 8, 2018, 7:34 AM
|
|
1. The SEC East winner kicks out the true SEC best team. Avoiding Alabama means something. We got slapped with being the #1 CFP team last year.
2. Georgia losing to SC means when we beat SC we're better than any team in the SEC. Especially when A&M wins some games in the west.
3. Win and we're in. Great! Let's make the path as easy as possible.

I only wish Darius Rucker could be on the field and a part of the impending beat down.
