Parking for Next Year

After the email that went out from IPTAY this week regarding parking assignments for next year I decided to check their "interactive map" - looks like I'm losing the Lot 1 spot I've had for the last few years unless I pony up an additional $1,500.

I could understand IPTAY doing things like this when we were making the playoff every year, but after a 9-4 season? I've donated consistently at the "IPTAY" level since I graduated in 2016, and under this new model am not eligible for a parking spot anywhere remotely close to the stadium. It's quite frustrating. I understand that IPTAY's job is to increase revenues, but the anecdotal stories I hear are that people are giving up their tickets or decreasing their donation lately, not that there is a sudden influx of new donors or that folks are increasing their giving. What am I missing?

Losing my long time seat buddy as they can not walk the distance from the parking lot assigned to the stadium and can not afford to give 5000-7500 to move closer to a closer parking lot. I know! I know! Iptay will provide golf kart assistance in moving folks to and from parking spots but it's not reliable. Many of the Seniors are facing this issue. Please understand at the end of the day it is all about money.

You pretty much got it. Except where you said you will lose your spot unless you pony up. Fact is, even if you pony up you might still lose that spot. Because others are being encouraged to pony up too.

I am in the same boat. Pony up more money or move to a different lot. I cannot wait to see the IPTAY donation money and member numbers for this year. I am still waiting for IPTAY to undergo a cost saving measure and cut some jobs. I have posted on her several times that season before last IPTAY took a bunch of people on a boomdoggle to Chicago for the ND game. Who has the clout to force them to cut costs?
