Not mentioned once. Of course FSU who is completely rebuilding is mentioned as a top 12 contender for playoffs. What’s happened? Are we that much hated because of our coach and the whole NIL, portal thing? Is our team that bad compared tot he NIL, portal built teams?

That's because the ACC is going to only get 1 team in the CFP. The conference champion which everyone of the know-it-all crowd is certain it will be FSU. Tat crowd has written us off knowing that we will lose to UGA and FSU.
Guess Dabo will have to show them. Actually, I prefer that we stay as the underdogs. Great motivator.

I agree. But I do not think Clemson has the talent to beat UGA and FSU as in previous years. The lack of portal acquisitions makes us less competitive. The current roster has issues at OL, QB, DE and WR. Expecting incoming freshman recruits to outperform experienced players is wishful thinking. But its Clemson's only choice, so I get it.

We missed a chip shot field goal to beat FSU’s best team in 10 years this year. On paper they will be considerably lass talented this year. We should be a more talented team next year if Cade improves. I don’t think we beat UGA in the opener but we don’t need to in order to make the playoffs.
As long as the ACC Champ gets an auto bid and we are in the ACC, Clemson will be relevant for making the playoffs as long as Dabo is here. The ACC is not getting two team in next year unless we go undefeated in the regular season and lose in the ACC Championship Game to a Louisville or FSU team that we have already beaten.

Third or Fourth is probably fair. Clemson really can't be considered a conference contender and CFP team with so many questions going into 2024. We don't have the resources or will to win at all costs. So 10-12 win seasons are harder to come by.

I think it's mainly because we were irrelevant last season. Can't expect them to spend a lot of time talking about teams that spent most of the season not even ranked.

If we can solve our multiple offensive problems, we will be fine. Exactly what we all said coming into this year. But Dabo started his run working our way out of irrelevance, and it is more fun to win as an underdog. So, Go Tiguhs!!
