Now that they have been put in their place will be rooting

for USuC until they play us. Two reasons: 1) one or two more wins and their heads will swell again 2) keep their ranking high so when we beat them the computers will like us better

If they happen to win then fine it will help us. I cannot root for them to win...EVER!!! The coots were still flying flags when I was on my way home this morning from the game. That is their resolve people. I don't want them with anymore confidence or bravado coming into our game. Can't root for them...PERIOD!

Nope: Just need one reason not to do so....

They are Capons. Clemson has no need to see a "strong USC" nor should we wish them well.
We should wish that Tennessee removes what's left of the horseshoe squarely planted between their butt-cheeks and that someone like Arkansas or Wofford absolutely makes this a season to remember ... for all the wrong reasons.
Then, to prove the world is firmly back on its properly axis, we wrap up their once-dream season in a big turd bow and let a season-ending beatdown remind them of just who they are all the way through winter.
That, to me, is far more satisfying than beating a "better UCS." It's time ... past time ... to set things right.

There was a stronger argument

that it was in Clemson's best interests for them to win when they were unbeaten. Knocking off a 11-0 team from the almighty SEC, especially if Clemson was 10-1, would have been huge. Now it's no big deal. Either way, I always want them to lose. If they did help us with strength of schedule they would just crow about that for a year or two.

Can't do it; won't do it. Moral relativism vs. moral absolutes. I believe in doing what is right regardless of what I think may be the outcome. Always pull against the Chickens. You will feel better about yourself. Good things will happen.
