Can Tanner find a place in the NFL as an ever down guy?

Surely, he can be a special teams specialist or something, but can he bulk up a little and be an NFL linebacker? If he can play safety in college surely he can cover in the lb spot - correct? For all the times I yelled at his aggressiveness or getting sucked in on something over the years he made up for it 10x fold with good plays. Thoughts??

He has a lot of talent and speed. His experience and level of preparation will also serve him well. He would fit nicely in a hybrid safety role. He’s a solid tackler and a cerebral player.
He’s a super guy and we will miss him more than most people know.

He won't be asked to cover WRs in the NFL

He has the size and speed to cover zones and TEs

Boulware was a better player, and look where he is.

Muse will never take an NFL snap.

Boulware had no length or speed. Had a great nose for the ball, played fearless, but without the measurable that doesn’t make it in the NFL.
Muse was a great college player. But he has poor change of direction ability. I can’t believe how tight his hips are for a young man with the athletic ability he has - otherwise. Because of that he has an uphill climb to play in the NFL

Boulware was a good player but under performed athletically. Tanner excels athletically but has his moments getting beat mentally. He’s more coachable I think

The problem is coverage is at such a premium now in the NFL even at LB that’s not even to think about S.
My first instinct would be as a special teams heavy backup LB type you see in rosters. But not even sure of that.

No way, but maybe he can be a reserve and special teams guy.
With all due respect to Ben Boulware, Tanner Muse is much more athletic and has a legit chance at a roster spot.

Put me down for the record saying he makes an NFL team and eventually ends up playing somewhere. His versatility will keep him on the roster until be becomes a starter.

Too many people on this board can’t see past their orange glasses. Lots of these people don’t do good with reality. Same with Boulware

3rd round.
I think Muse is good enough to play in the NFL. His skill set might fit well in some schemes. I’m not saying he’s an all pro safety but the guy can tackle.
