If Clemson played their schedule they'd get in the playoffs. GaState would have no chance to make the tournament if they played in the ACC.
The fact is Clemson hasn't supported basketball and that's why they've lost their last two coaches. I see no problem investing in LJ to try and create interest in the program. Winning didn't do it for OP that's why he left, maybe this will.

Retired at Clemson if he could have gotten support. Everytime a good coach leaves Clemson of you enjoy making stuff up about why they leave.
He couldn't hold high level AAU events in Clemson and get the top players on campus, because we had nowhere for them to play.

It's obvious you know not what you're talking about. OP let his little head do his thinking. Wifey wasn't too happy. No way he was retiring here.

It's sad that people are so desperate to cover up for our current coach's mediocrity that they'd spread rumors about the past coaches.

an original LJ seating capacity of 12k to 10k after the most recent renovation. This one will take us to 8.5k.
If the trend holds, the next LJ Renovation in about 15 more years will drop capacity to 6k.

It's like recruiting. The better recruits you get gives you a better chance to win. That doesn't mean you will always win and that there won't be upsets. Same with facilities, they don't guarantee you will win but the better facilities you have increase your chances of getting better recruits and therefore winning.

Another uninformed post. GA ST has a legit big boy roster. They have taken transfers from the likes of Kentucky (kid was best/quickest pg we played last year but an absolute head case) and Ohio St. The young man who hit the game winner would be in the Big East or Big 10 IF his dad wasn't the coach at GA ST!
So hate all you want. They have talented players who didn't fit in elsewhere and the coach's son who could play anywhere.
