I thought Coach said he would likely play this season as well.

Simpson needs development mentally and physically. He's lazy on plays and needs tighten. 6 years ago he'd play, but we have alot of talent that will allow him time to grow. Its in his best interest. He will be a beast. GO TIGERS !!

You make it sound like they're going to redshirt him but I seriously doubt they'd bother putting him on the depth chart if that were the case.

Also are we looking to redshirt Shaq at this point? Pretty surprised that Skalski is playing but he isn't.

Yea I'm surprised about that too Shaq got good reviews and heard nothing on salaski or how ever you spell it. And I want to see what trayvon can do opposite of tank tho they have him backing up tank. I just think he has way more upside at CB then say Ryan carter but coaches have got us this far I still believe in their personal judgement bc the see them everyday we don't! Also would be cool to see feaster maybe do some KR or motion out to the slot bc he has very good hands for a rb!

After his praise of Troy leading up to the game, it seems a bit like Dabo is now singing a different tune as he talks about playing several freshmen.
I always take what Dabo says with a grain of salt. I'm hoping the expectation of freshmen playing is s better predictor of Saturday than the earlier description of the Troy football team coming to Death Valley. ??

Right. Who plays this week doesn't tell us anything about who will red-shirt. They can play the 1st three games & still red-shirt. Depth charts don't tell you much either. Compare who's listed as the starter to how many plays they got. I looked at Auburn's depth chart & compared it to who played & where they played. It seems that their depth chart was more for the purpose of misinforming than informing. Our list was better but do we really need to list all our TEs except one true freshman? I find it hard to believe that the TEs have been around all these years & the staff doesn't know the pecking order. Maybe parents like to see their son listed.
