Out of the draft eligible guys (juniors), Lee says C Chris Wiliams will return. Eubanks received a good bit of money. Beasley will sign, Ryan Miller he expects to return

On Reed Rohlman - scouts saw him as a senior which is why he went so low

The fact that he's basically a one tool player probably had something to do with it.
The comment about scouts "saw him as a senior" is telling. I once asked a scout how they viewed RS Jrs and he said he viewed them as seniors. Meaning, they're going to get paid like seniors, or close to it. And seniors get virtually nothing, unless they're VERY high picks. All the more reason why RS So's and Jr.'s should take the money when they can.

Lee says Ryan Miller should be healthy next season. They shut him down after GT series to calm inflammation (he had Tommy John surgery). He is playing catch now and feels good.

Lee says they might try and develop Miller as a starter. Team lost 400 innings of starting pitcher. He says they will take every guy on the staff and let them be a starter

Statistically, he probably also has labrum damage. He may be playing in 6 mos., but he probably won't be throwing at 100% for a year or more.

How 'bout working with the team he has? We were quite successful bunting into outs and base running errors to kill rallies and end innings.

Some good arms. I liked Griffith a lot at the end of the season and Higgy had some flashes in 2016, he's got the stuff when he's on. Seems like Strider might be better off in the pen if he's getting up to 96-97 though. That's like 102 mph at the college game.

He will never be an outfielder at the next level. Maybe in minor league ball, but he would never play outfield at the MLB level. Only position in the field he will be able to play will be first base so he needs to work on becoming a better first baseman. If Williams come back he will have to play catcher...that is the position Williams will get drafted at and play at next level. Moving him to first will only hurt Williams draft stock next season...I think Seth plays first / DH. My gut feeling...but I am not right very often.

No, it didn't. But, he pretty much has to be a first baseman at the next level. Doesn't really have the arm for the OF in college, not even close to good enough for MLB. The question is whether Clemson bites the bullet and forces the change now, or lets if wait until he gets to the minors.
For those with short memories, Rudy Cox really was not a very good first baseman when he got to Clemson, but he eventually became a good one. Beer is athletic enough that he should be able to do the same.

He just said Williams won't be able to throw for a year so he plays first base. Sorry, but he is not and will not be like Andrew Cox. Neither will anyone else we have. I like Williams at first and Wilkie catching. Beer will be part time outfielder, part time DH.
