Louisville had a record crowd of 55,634 against fsu

It's gonna be a rude awakening to enter a place with 90,000 on a Saturday night.

I expect the crowd will not be the deciding factor. We need to play better than them.

I contend it was the crowd that made the difference in 2014

The defense scored. Special teams scored. There were penalties and delays. We didn't get loud on 3rd down like the Auburn fans did with us a few weeks ago. We were UP for EVERY SINGLE defensive play.
Needs to be that way again next week. After we win Thursday, the energy will be provided. And alcohol consumption Saturday morning and afternoon will surely help.

And they don't let that many people in now. No way it can push 90,000

That was a hot mess last time they tried to orchestrate that stunt. Could happen next week if we play or cards (and jackets) right.

the all-time record was the first Bowden Bowl where there were in excess of 100,000. The County Fire Marshall actually fined the University for it.

The part about the fire marshal is true ... 100K+ is pure BS

Cover every square inch of every aisle and every blade of grass on the hill with people standing and you won't get 100K in DV ... no way.

Was standing room only on the bleachers and the concrete. There was literally no way to sit down. The hill had to be pushing 8 - 10k. It was an awesome experience, but would have been a disaster if there had been a real emergency.

Administration and fire marshal's/officials have since placed strict limits on the number of general admission tickets and we will never see those sorts of crowd in DV or LJ again.

Student section for USuC game in 2000 was similar with
Sep 19, 2016, 3:49 PM
|

about double the normal amount of people in the student section. There was a row on the concrete and then a row standing on the bleacher seats behind all the way through the student section.
That's still not 100k though because the student section just isn't that big. I've always heard Bowden Bowl 1 was in the 90s.
