With Briles staying at offensive coordinator and Robert Levette as defensive coordinator. What do you think if true?

I think that you have the wrong Stoops. All the talk that I have heard has been about Mark Stoops from Kentucky.

He’ll get at least a year and a half to fix everything.

I think it's great. It adds punch to the acc. We are in a position now to where Satterfield, Mack and of they get Stoops is no worries for us but good for the schedule! Bring him on!!

Offer is $40 million for 5 years. If Stoops says no, it will go to a search committee and both of our OC's are on the list.

This will either happen quickly or not at all. Let's hope quickly. Our OC's are at the top of the list.

I think you mean Jim Leavitt as DC

When have you ever heard a high profile, probably HOF, coach not being able to pick their own coordinators? Just doesn’t seem like an ideal situation.

You wouldn’t fire Taggert w/o a plan

If they already had Stoops basically done they are making the right moves.
He is a stud recruiter and now has a few weeks to close early signing period.
It won’t take him very long to get them back...

Yes, Jim Leavitt...
Sorry I got it wrong. Remember he was the South Florida Coach at one time. Now just a special quality control coach at FSU. He started his career as a defensive coordinator so that would appear to be sound right.

Been home about 30 minutes or so.

Got a text while I was at a meeting. Y'all have covered it pretty darn well. What I have read in this post is consistent with everything else I have found re Bob Stoops.
I haven't heard any rumors about plan B being going after Clemson coordinators.
As for the Stoops/Briles connection, here is what I am reading. Bob Stoops and Art Briles are friends. Allegedly Stoops likes the spread, up-temp offense Briles (father and son) run. Lincoln Riley is not from the Briles coaching tree (he learned the trade under Mike Leach). But, the styles are very similar.
Stoops/Leavitt connection: The were co-defensive coordinators for 5 years under Bill Snyder (early 90s).
Not saying it is going to happen. But, looking more and more likely.

Leavitt is a darn good coach, and built USF from literally not even having a football, just had a scandal at the end of his USF run that has hurt him getting a head gig again. Along with Mangino at KU seems to have blackballed him. Very good DC as well imo, defintely one of the top 15, and with the horses top 10. Amazing what difference athletes make in a scheme. I am a bit suprised that not only would Bob maybe take this, but also possibly be putting the block on brother Mark getting the gig as he has to have been one of the front runners I would imagine. Oh well, I think either one would be a great pick up for yall, along with a few other coached from right in the ACC. Clawson and Addazio chiefly among them. I really like Dino, but this year might have damaged his stock.

He would be a great hire for them! He has won a NC I believe and is more CEO now! Would bring in good assistants and with the wealth of talent they usually get - be right there in the mix!
