Leaving Capri’s in Greenwood tonight, I had just gotten in my wife’s car that has a Purple Heart tag and a guy who was headed inside motioned for me to roll my window down . He then asked if I was the Purple Heart recipient and held out his hand to shake mine and thanked me for my “sacrifice”. He said he had been infantry and was now in the National Guard. He thanked me again when I told him that I was infantry in Vietnam- made me feel pretty good.

Well it should make you feel good. You went through lots of carp for our sorry behinds. We are in your debt. My dad (B-24 gunner) got a purple heart in WWII. Never would talk about it
