Lawton Swann saying expect a signing day surprise

He says a 4* offensive player will flip to Clemson on signing day. I hope he's right.
Zack Bailey fits that description.

I trust the coaching staff, but I'm wondering if we even have room for Fields now with this Denzel Johnson offer..

it will be suggested to someone that they need to begin focusing on life after football. I like that Dabo does not over sign every year and force a bunch of kids out against their will but the elite teams find a way to make the numbers work and have the best 85 players on scholarship they can get. At some point you have to decide if you want to be an elite team and win a championship or be a very good team, be the nice guy, and maybe win maybe not. Someone will get the bad end of the deal but is it really unfair to tell someone that has already graduated that is never going to see the field that they need to move on in order to get someone that is going to make an impact from day 1?

I'm sorry but how is it unfair that a kid got a free education and didn't really help out the team that much to go play somewhere u can. Fans try to make more of this than players. Player wanna play not sit the bench.

It's not which was my point. If a kid has already graduated and it's obvious to the coaches and that player that he is not going to see the field I don't think there is any harm in telling him it is time to move along in order to open up a spot for someone that can contribute.

I hate not taking kids years before because of a future recruit in coming years. That's how we got in the qb situation this year. I don't think taking a rb will scare of feaster. Rb is not like qb. More than 1 can play.

True, but we are deep at RB. Especially if CJ Fuller is as good as Dabo says he is.

Trying hard to figure out who this could be. I feel we have too many things work in against us to get a Bailey flip. Immediate family, girlfriend and best friend are all coots.
That being said, Clemson would be the best place for him to grow as a man by being held accountable, actually earning his keep (competing every day to win and keep his job), win championships, and impress NFL scouts in high-profile, critical, nationally televised broadcasts.
Would be nice seeing as though we desperately need help at right guard this year.

There was a high profile OL we were in on who's name is on the tip of my tongue. Seems like his name started with a V. I can't recall. There's also Matthew Burrell we were talking about. I wish we could flip Josh Sweat.

Thanks for the info. So its a 4* offensive player that Clemson will flip? Could it be for the '16 class? If not, then most are thinking its a WR for this class?
