LaSamuel Davis.

Dabo and crew are putting together the best recruiting class we have ever had, but as far as Mr. Davis I hope we are recruiting him as a wide receiver, bc I finally found some tape on him on YouTube, under LaSamuel Davis Highlights, and he is kind of a pushover on the DL even by small HS O-Lineman. Any insight on where our coaches see him fitting in?

Hey I get it, coaches wanted him for a reason. They have earned our trust in their decisions! I just wasn't completely seeing the upside w the other Man-Childs that we have brought on campus lately. LaSamuel Davis the SlimReaper

He's got the body to fill out. Athletic freak like Beasley but skinny as heck. If he should have no problem filling out to +240lbs.

Coaches recruit talent first and once on campus those talents are groomed and coached to the best fit for the team and hopefully for the athlete. Vic, Shatley and McLean just recent examples. Davis' frame has great upside!

I see him as 6'5 255 by the time he is done and just a stud. I know a hs coach and he said you can't tell what these kids are gonna be size wise. He said several of his player only get to eat at school.

Same could be said for Vic Beasley when he came to Clemson

A skinny athletic freak of nature who can play any number of spots. Just like Vic they think they can get him in the 230-250 range and make him a pass rushing specialist off the edge.

Anthony Simmons was listed as 225 lbs as a junior

(his last year at Clemson)which may have been a stretch. He was a first team All-ACC (inside) linebacker as a true freshman when he was listed at 213, which may have been a stretch as well.
While bigger is usually better when all other things are equal, all other things are usually not equal. Granted, you won't see many 180 lb. guys playing O-line, but I think often size alone is given too much . . . well, weight.

Eat a di¢k tigerbry. That's my opinion and I'm entitled to it and I'm not going to be bullied by some keyboard tough guy! I will say what I'm thinking about the team and the recruits and the coaching just like everyone else on here does and not be called names by "fellow" alum or fans just for thinking it. I saw something in film and I stated it. There were only 5 minutes of film on him I could find and that's what I took away from it. But what do I know?

You're saying a just-turned 17 year old kid who is 6'3.5 and 215 is a pushover... wow, just wow. He isn't even a senior yet! He will grow! Obviously you don't know about those kids from Bamberg that turn into men at Clemson. How you can dismiss his physicality over a short film on YouTube is just mind bottling. Mr.Davis will make your statement look ridiculous some day soon. But hopefully you're banned by then.
