I agree I was think thee other day how average Fowler is compared to Keith and Brent. Chris is better than he was at first but not outstanding

"My OH My", Jackson was great. My only knock on him, at times he would be a homer for the 'blue bloods.'
Sorry, but never a fan of Brent M. He was such a homer for Dallas back in the day. All of cbs slobbered over the boys. At that time it was the cowboys broadcasting corporation. Phyllis George, granted a texan, broke down in tears after the boys lost a super bowl. Sheesh.

The first TV game Keith Jackson called was at Clemson when we beat Duke in 9-6 1966, my senior year, and he called many after that. That was also Clemson's first game televised in color. We first wore the orange straw hats for that game, and most of us kept ours until they fell apart many years later.

I agree, but I lost a lot of respect for Keith Jackson

when he and Ari Parseghian totally ignored Woody Hayes punching Charlie Bauman on the sideline after Charlie intercepted a pass that basically decided the Gator Bowl win over Ohio State.
They saw it live and they saw the replay, and never said a word about Woody punching Charlie.

Lindsey Nelson was one of the best ever. You young folks never got to hear the great Bill Stern.

He was a great announcer but I prefer Ron Franklin. When he was paired with Mike Gottfried they made the best team in my lifetime. Jackson was with Bob Griese who I have always viewed as a ######. His son is an even bigger ######. Franklin had the voice and Gottfried knew how to explain the game to people. I have some great memories of watching the Tigers play at 1:00 and then getting home for the second half of an ESPN saturday night game with Franklin and Gottfried calling it.

Bob Griese was a great QB when you consider he played with one eye, he was legally blind in the other. Bob was the ultimate competitor. Bob did so much for those less fortunate than him, love bob Griese as one of footballs greats from the 70’s.
He’s son not nearly as much.

I'll have to say he was great, but my favorite was Brent Musburger. Always liked the way he called a game.

But I never liked Ara Parseghian with him. I can't remember who was with him on SECN.

Keith Jackson - GOAT Gary Danielson - I can't come up with a word to describe how bad this guy is.
