Just heard the Coots are paying $2 billion

1

Feb 28, 2023, 10:10 PM

To make improvements on Williams Brice Stadium. All jokes aside on how it needs that.

Where did they get $2 billion dollars?

And if they can come up with that kind of money, why can't we come up with half a billion to get out of a crappy conference?

it is a very old stadium and desperately needs repairs. the money is coming from the SEC payouts and donors like me.

The SEC gave SCAR $49 million last year...

Upside down cockroach and build the world's largest pig farm. Then install giant fans to make sure the wind was always blowing towards them.

It cost 1.3B to build Jerry's world and 1.6B to build MB stadium in ATL. When Ta&m refurbished their stadium they spent $450M. So you think the cacks have the coin to spend 4 times what the wealthiest school in the SEC spent?

It's amazing how easily people are duped.

Last month, when they released the RFI our fans claimed that it was just for show as a developer had already been identified with a plan.

Now they've extended the RFI because of "interest" and so our fans are running with there is tons of interest. Which would mean there wasn't a plan in place and a developer ready to actually build the things they've claimed are coming.

It's roughly 1 billion but it isn't just for the stadium.

For 2 Billion, they would build a NFL caliber dome beside Willie B.

They are seeking private money to develop area around the stadium. Similar to what the Braves have done in north Atlanta.

The last time I went there I was shocked at how bad it looks. Sound system sounded like garbage. I was thinking all this SEC money and you are playing in a shizz hole.

Overdue for a facelift.

$1 billion redevelopment proposed for 900 acres adjacent to the stadium including (according to another article I found) $11 million in stadium improvements.
