ND makes a lot of money in football with contract with NBC and others. Just greedy and don't want to give some up or split it with the conference but need to be in conference in other sports.kinda feel like ND just using ACC for others and has no intention on becoming acc member in football until they have no choice. I like playing ND now in football always great to beat the "traditional powers " so I'm ok with how it is just they should have to throw a little cash into the conference for football atleast their bowl earnings just a thought.

can't be a conference champion, but then the CFP let in lameass O-31-O State, just to get atomic wedgied in front of everybody on national television, so obviously the committee would let ND in if they ever got close to being good. Sad. And they would keep all the money.

ND is using the ACC and the ACC is using ND for different reasons. Keep in mind that ND attracts viewers regardless of their revelance. The ACC with a part time ND is stronger (more profitable) than ACC w/o ND

I've heard many say that they think that they are too good for a conference, or at least to associate FT with one. ND is still under the impression that the Football program is relevant. The brand or FB for that matter haven't been relevant in a long time. So, no loss for the ACC. Besides, Clemson's got ND's number anyway. In the rain. League or not.

ND is making about $10 million less than the other ACC teams so they are the ones that is losing out. As you have said ND football is nowhere what it used to be.

were a full member. I'd like to see a more thorough analysis before I believe that. It seems silly to think that they are in the ACC for all other sports, and are committed to play five ACC teams a year in football, but take a pay cut not to be full members. For what? Pride?
If that's the case, they'd better know what they are doing. Every year people get less enthralled with the aura of Notre Dame. Right now they could probably pick the 16th member and get some other concessions that they would benefit from. Not sure that will be the case in ten years.

Pretty easy to figure out.
ACC gets about 27 million per team and that number will increase with the network.
ND gets about 7 million from the ACC and 15 million from NBC and 2.83 million from the playoff pool so about 25M. Now if ND makes the new years 6 or playoff they will make more money due to individual arrangements but in a normal year they make a little less than being a full time member.

make ND and Texas play each other 12 times a season. If they end up 6-6, they can play in a new bowl halfway between Austin and Notre Dame. Now I'm trying to come up with a name for the bowl and who would sponsor.

And Nick Saban denied a hundred ways that he was leaving the Dolphins for the Alabama job. I don't buy that they haven't talked with the ACC about this.

They are stuck up and overvalue their worth to college football.
