Why are we defending Mike Gundy?

Just like Brees, he backed off and promised change and said it starts with him. Conservatives are allowing themselves to be bullied into silence which perpetuates that kind of behavior. I say to #### with Gundy... all he did was further hurt Conservatives who would like to express themselves without being attacked for it.

Wear a Planned Parenthood shirt. Killer. Where a news shirt. FIRED. Riot, beat up, burn buildings. Fine. Say all lives matter, fired! Wear, Pig dressed in cops uniform, socks, fine. Say you dont agree with keeling during anthem, Have to beg for forgiveness.

Gundy has nothing to do with Clemson

Why is anyone here defending him?
He didn’t suffer any consequence... He didn’t even actually apologize... He just threw up a video on social media..
Who cares about Oklahoma State or Mike Gundy ?
I do find it interesting not a single player stepped up to defend him... actually some just piled on ...
Interesting contrast to Dabo’s situation..Where multiple current and former players stood up for him.. So if anything- we should just be grateful for Dabo and the program we have ...

I’m not saying he should or shouldn’t have suffered any consequences... that’s a different conversation..
I’m just pointing out that 1. He’s irrelevant 2. What exactly is anyone defending him for? ... literally nothing happened to him...

Hubbard was actually the one who got more blasted on social media by right wing commentators who aren’t even college football fans. I saw a few even act like nobody knows who Hubbard is.

Is a logo or saying on a shirt

considered free speech or hate.
If others can wear shirts for liberal causes or groups without retribution shouldn't Gundy have been able to wear a conservative shirt?
Me thinks there is a huge double standard in America right now
If you don't see it you a not being observant or truthful

We can all do pretty much anything we want in this country ... It’s absolutely protected as free speech...
In countries that aren’t free - the government will come after you for non-sanctioned acts ...
People seem to be confusing government action versus people expressing themselves... Gundy can say and do whatever he wants without breaking the law and he has every right to... Likewise Hubbard has the right to walk away from Oklahoma State if he so chooses ..
Everyone’s assuming this was about Gundy getting fired ... More likely Gundy realized Hubbard quite literally carried Oklahoma State last season... He didn’t do jack other than appease Hubbard .. Gundy won’t get fired for a t-shirt - he will get fired if he loses a bunch of games though...

They’re on ESPN saying he should apologize or be fired. I am not defending him but are defending his rights. The BLM organization openly supports the “disruption” of the nuclear family - why can someone wear their shirts and not get fired or hung out to dry by the media? The left is only tolerant or their own opinions.

There isn't a person on this board who hasn't been more worked up about current events over the past month than YOU have.
Look in the mirror, dude.

Mike Gundy is no longer in control of his team.

That much is evident. He will not be able to coach effectively because his players have shown they lack respect for him as a leader.
He might as well go ahead and start working on his severance package.

Not defending anyone except everyone's right to FREE SPEECH> Its a fricking tee shirt. If it was CNN I would assume it would never see the light of day or be applauded. PS Papa Johns suck and Dominoes is better.
