Thug (n):
1) An aggressive and violent young criminal.
2) A football player who is not subjected to many rules from his head coach. Often seen standing over players, grandstanding after every tackle, big and small. Acting thuggish.

I would have thought they had more football players than that in the last 7 years.
I think you may have made the 2nd definition up, which is fine. It is a severe departure from the first definition, to be sure.
To be clear, do you think most USC football players are aggressive and violent young criminals? Or do you think most USC football players stand over players, grandstanding after every tackle?

Hardly anyone on that list was on the team this year. And most of the gusy that are committed relatively minor things (Unspecified team rules i.e. skipping class) or alcohol possession.
Only four current players have actually been arrested - Hampton, Muldrow, Holloman, and Jerideau

I could not agree more. I had the pleasure to meet Dylan Thopmpson at a wild game held by Screven Baptist Church. He is an upstanding young man. .He was there with TJ Johnson whom I know him and his family very well TJ is an awsome young man. I would have been proud to have either playing for Clemson
