I would love to see the #1 Jersey be Earned

I found my old #1 jersey this weekend that i bought in 1995 for my favorite Tiger, Antwan Edwards. Then i remembered how long I rocked that jersey as the #1 was passed from Tiger Great to Tiger Great consecutively.

Airese Currie
James Davis
Martavis Bryant

Not at all saying Ogundeko and T Thompson don't deserve it, but in the future why not honor those Legendary Tigers by respecting the 1?

I agree. Only Freshman players who are absolutely 100% guaranteed to be legends should be allowed to wear #1.

Airese and Martavis were solid players , but were not ever in the " legends " running .
I agree though , #1 should never be worn by a freshman and be awarded for exceptional on field performance both offensively and defensively. Good idea.
